Just saw John Lewis are selling Tempur mattresses for around £200 less than usual (for example normally £1,889 for Elite King size, now £1,689). Online and in-store. No indication as to when it's liable to end, but it seems to include most of the models! Great deal if you've been thinking about one anyway. Free delivery and some models are in stock and ready to be delivered.

NEED TO SLEEP ON THIS OFFER......
Good discount but the reviews are bad for this type of mattress. Heat added as someone will like the price
Don't let this put you off posting deals on here, i've had a few bad ones

Thanks! This is actually a brilliant deal, considering the same mattress is now £1000 more expensive from Tempur direct. I guess people make what they want of it!
Wait for black Friday if you can. Especially if you live near the Tempur outlets. We got our tempur bed ( superking ottoman bed, headboard and cloud mattress) for £1500 in their black Friday event. Ours was bought at Clarke's village in Devon, they delivered it and put it all up and took away the rubbish. They may do something similar again this year.

I was going to buy this type of mattress after searching for ages, but someone on here said to type in problems with a Tempur mattress. Went for something different in the end
I bought a Tempur mattress and it was one of my worst purchases ever. Within 2 short years it began to smell, to the point of giving my wife and I headaches. We eventually got rid of it and went back to spring mattress. Worst high-end purchase I have ever made

Not giving this heat or cold, but I would certainly recommend you stay clear of Tempur mattresses.
Looks like this mattress will keep you cool in the summer.
Very, very poor. Our Tempur mattress foam collapsed after a couple of years. Ridiculous for such an expensive item.
Have some heat, I bet the majority of down voters wouldn't know what the normal price of a Tempur mattress was.

That is really interesting, I was thinking about buying one but I’m really sensitive to smells and I couldn’t bare it. Do you think it could be the memory foam as it ages
If I paid this much for a mattress, I would never be able to sleep
Nazi HUKD deleted my comment with my last link, but check out Ergoflex. Their selling point is creating a product very similar to Tempur but a third of the price. Got ours a few months ago and for £550 it's fantastic.

I know this is old, but why didn't you just get a new one for free?

I claimed under the guarantee but they said that only applies if the mattress literally falls apart, not if it collapses. I could have sued but it seems daunting.

The best thing to do to tackle an issue like this (Tempur usually being the ones who make the sale without a retailer) is to write a letter explaining the problem, and that you invite them to either repair or replace the mattress. Mention the guarantee and state of it is not honoured you will be seeking quotes from 3rd parties to cost a repair for which you will bill Tempur. Also explain that if they refuse to compensate fully for the repair then you will approach trading standards first with the view for legal action to reclaim the cost of the repair through court. The repair cost will be nasty, Tempur would want to deal with it amicably.

Now replace Tempur with any other company because I assume the mattress is gone already and this tactic works against any company trying screw you over.

PS. I did this with my PS3... Four times! Yellow Light of Death within the first year, two instances occurred after the first year. But I already contacted them when it first happened and they refused a free repair. I kept each response, they paid up the first three times... They fourth they also paid but took the PS3 and gave me a brand new one. They could see they messed up and should have fixed the fault first time around. They knew I would bill them for every repair to an issue that first occurred during the legal guarantee peroid until it was finally fixed for good.
