Back at £5.49 including free delivery via Box. We saw this price before Christmas, but after that it wen't to £7.49, although I am not 100% if it had free delivery at that price. Either way, it does here and £5.49 is cheap.

There's one that used listed at £3.99, but no free delivery there, so cheaper to get a new one in this instance.

For the price will give it ago .
Only needs a slight boost .
I thought these degraded the overall speed/quality of your connection?

Did you do any speed tests on your network before and after?
I'm guessing that as it doesn't say 'Dual Band' that it isn't?
Pictures on the website show a device with a 2-pin EU plug rather than a UK BS1363. Can anyone confirm? (if they have previously bought them from Box)
This thing is trash. Says its works, connected to it. But no internet to device. Last time i got one, had to send back for refund. Its a shame as Tenda make other good products!
I’m currently using an old router as a WiFi extender to push the signal out to my garage. This works okay but does cut the performance in half. Does anyone know if this will be better or should I just stick with what I have ?

Yes we did.made the speed go down slightly but not affected it that much
I bought this about 3-4 months ago for about this price.

And I'm shocked to say, it actually worked. Improved the signal in 2 dead-spots upstairs and downstairs.

This is essentially a modern self contained version of what you have.

Yup just keep what you have and save a fiver, this wont improve the signal in any meaningful way.
I got these a few weeks back and it does absolutely nothing has to be next to the router to pick up the signal - dont bother.
I bought this few months ago but since then I bought new router. I’m finding really difficult to reset this extender & unable to connect to new router. I have tried everything but unable to connect. I really appreciate if anyone could help me. Thanks in advance.
Ordered but no email confirmation yet
Doesn't bode well

I think the issue people often have with these is that they place them in the location where they have the issue. What you should do is place them (roughly) half way between the router and the problem spot.

Not tried this specific model, but have the similar product which got slated heavily in reviews which made me doubt its effectiveness and I think what you just said hits the nail on the head, it's got to be in a good enough position to get an good signal in the first place.

I use mine to extend the WiFi from the house to the shed, normal WiFi gets there but it's flakey everything buffers/disconnects reconnects etc, stuck an extender half way and it's good enough to stream music and do a bit of zwift at the same time.

Does anyone know if this will work with the Now tv (sky q) router?
Pity it has no ethernet port, after a cheap one to use occasionally tethered to my phone for non wifi hardware

Works with any router
£15 postage to Orkney Isles
Think i'll give it a miss
I bought 5 of these. They are good but be warned they don't work well with Google chrome I suspect it doesn't pass on the special multi cast packets so I can't cast to my TV without fiddling about and forcing a connection etc.

A workaround I found is to login to the repeater and then banning the chromecast connecting to this repeater.. Seems to be okay. You probably necessary to do this because while the chromecast was connected to the repeater this repeater was struggling and barely going 1mbps Internet. Seems to be a bug

Anyway it has great range and easy to setup.
It's going to be a bit rubbish.
Save you pennies and get a 20 quid GL.inet yellow box.
Just got delivery update..
coming today... that's quick

Edit... delivered at 0845...wow really fast.
The price is good, but WiFi extenders are unusable. Today a wifi mesh is new way forward. But they aren't cheap.
Ok delivered and set up .
It's not great .
But it's good.
My 2 cameras on my gable now work on live scream .
They both never worked on that function before.
So they definitely work and done the job I needed it to do .
