Could also split and use in two smaller houses

I hadn't considered but correct me if I'm wrong, from what I understand, the first node needs to be connected to the router by LAN cable and then transmits wirelessly to the other. That effectively makes it no different (aside from more expensive) than a normal wifi extender. Isn't the point of mesh wifi that you have several nodes that create a more 'circular' connection as opposed to one more 'linear'
You connect one with a wire and the rest are placed within the signal of that one.

I got the mw6 free and use that as the first in chain. Then placed another 3 around the house but it worked fine with 2. With extenders I found constant signal issues when moving rooms or where signal from both varied in strength not finding that with mesh..

Did have issue when I left the BT Wi-fi on and called the new network the same name to act as an extension but great once I turned off the original hub.

Splitting them can work if you have a small house or only need signal in one place that is a black out save them sitting in a box..
I wanted to order the triple pack of the MW5; would the signal on this 4-pack as strong as the MW3 triple pack?

honestly wouldn't know. I imagine if you have sub 100mb broadband, the four pack would provide a more consistent network than the triple pack. If you need it of course. The MW5 would be more future proof
Does one connect to your router and then 3 around the house?
Got these over christmas for around £55. Fantastic pieces of kit.

Yes. Great bit of kit.
Is one a master in each pack of four?
Or could i use two in one network and use the other two in another separate network?

Yes you can
Just received today and set up. I'm a Virgin Media customer on 100MB internet package. Unfortunately the most I'm getting is 30-60MB varied. Thinking of returning and buying a different type spending a bit more. Any recommendations?
Id say if youre not happy return them. the tp link deco m5 (not sure about the e4's ) were highly rated at a budget perspective, there was a deal 2 for 90 but it may no longer be valid.
With google wifi i heard you dont get much control but they work great and are pricey.
New tplink models are out m9 etc, but the cost is much higher - its as if the market is equalising (same as in smart phones - all of a sudden everything costs lots).
Just clicked through to Box and these are still available at the same price
