Wow was about to go for this deal but seeing all the issues with getting them set up has put me off completely 😔

The ebuyer package is a set of x3 MW3 and 1x MW6, whereas amazon is just a x3 MW3

Been looking at routers for ages, just need reliable, consistent WiFi. Noticed the Asus ac86u gets consistently brilliant reviews that it just works. But it's pricey. For not needing the vpn features of the Asus, can anyone recommend this as a solid option? TIA
How is it going buddy. @apur32 , Heat added here
Balls - I order these last week at £83 delivered!

Got them yesterday and all set up last night - work brilliantly. I did have a couple of issues added the 3 MW3 units to the 6 but I fixed this by adding each new one in the same room as the MW6 and then moving to the location I wanted once on the network (they were struggling to find each other between rooms). Now got a strong and consistent WiFi signal throughout my house.
Might just be me, but it's not accepting the PRIZE20 code for me?
Great price!!!!!

You don't get the mw6 with that which is a deal breaker.

I bought these two weeks for £80 and am really pleased with them. I am only using 3 boxes (1x mw6 and 2x mw3) as I don't need the extra one for now. They have really improved the Wifi in the house no end and work much better than the repeaters I used to have.

Only problem I had was initial setup with the mw6 as it would not connect. I had to factory rest it using the reset button and it worked fine. I think it had already been used because it did not have shrink wrap and had the latest firmware on, but Ebuyer denied this.
Tempted by the deal for a 4 beds house, voted hot.
So the MW6 has gigabit ethernet whereas the MW3s only 100mbps ethernet right?Any substantial real life benefit in using a setup with 4 MW6s vs this 1 MW6 + 3 MW3s?What's the current cheapest price of 3 or 4 MW6s on a decent etailer?

gigabit LAN at each point if you are gonna hard wire to the units.
To confirm from the specs of the units, the MW3 APs only have 100Mbps cable ethernet connections. The MW6 has a Gigabit connection.
If the MW3 only has 100Mbps, does that mean all Wifi is throttled to 100Mbps max as an MW3 will be the one plugged into my Router? Baffled
Ordered, thank you!

Try and secure a price difference or refund and order again !
Hot from me... bought these for £49 last year and they are great. A couple of stoppages but nothing a reset doesnt fix.
Hot and bought!
Bargain! Ordered!
So hard to set up. I’ve given up and am returning.

Same here, given up. MW3's will not connect at all to MW6, then could not factory reset them. Hopeless. Tried to set them up all within the same room. I think 2 plastic cups and piece of string would work better than this rubbish!
A friend lives in the block of flats next to mine, and it reaches his kitchen which is about 5 houses away. The app shows that's it's offline but the node works and he can watch YouTube without it stuttering, but struggles TOS stream live TV it will buffef

Both boxes had shrink wrap for me. MW6 came with latest firmware it seems (allegory MW3 didn't). However I haven't been able to get them talking, even with resets etc... And I'm very tech literate…!

Might try again, but I'll be sending back if I can't get it going.

Hi, did you manage to connect? I've managed to connect the mw6 to the main router but the mw3's are not picking up any signal or connecting.

My MW6 was shrink wrapped and it also had the latest firmware on it v1.0.0.17

Are you scanning the bar codes on each unit to connect?

Also try clearing the cache on the app or deleting all of the app data.
Any one had any issues with multiple echo dots out of sync because they are connected to different nodes? Also I get a lot of issues with the music just stopping. I have enabled the 2.4ghz on my router on a different channel to the Tenda's and have put the echo dots on that. So far so good.

Haven't tried again yet. Packed them all up so they wouldn't get damaged/dirty in case of return. Will try to get them out again soon and let you know (waiting for ebuyer support too). Can you try users comments above and let me know how you get on? Cheers

I've been trying to scan the barcode but it won't scan... Will try to delete and install app again
Zaxxan17/11/2019 17:48

Yeah, at first it wasn't asking me to scan... Eventually it did (unsure why it changed behaviour).

Scanned, took a minute then said fail to add. Still actually added the 2nd device, but not connected (red, exclamation). Tried removing and scanning again, same thing.

May have cleared the cache, can't recall now.

Of course it should be plug and play, so something is up anyway IMO. Will try it all again soon when I feel like some pain.
Pain to set up. Resetting MW6 unit solved the problem for me.

This is the first item I have bought from eBuyer for quite a number of years because of a bad customer experience. I purchased through eBay so that I would have PayPal protection.

So far my MW3's and MW6 have been connected for six days and apart from an issue with echo dots they have been stable with a decent signal strength.

You are protected by eBay/PayPal so whatever Ebuyer says about return check with eBay customer service and send the item back.
I had an issue with AO eBay when they told me that they will only refund 80% of the value but when I spoke with eBay they said, simply send the item back and you will get your full money back from eBay and I did receive the full refund.

Silly question but has the app got permission to use your camera?
Zaxxan17/11/2019 22:21

Yeah I think the first time I said deny. Must have allowed it after that, but scan still could not add the node properly.
Does the node appear in your WiFi list on your phone? Have you tried manually selecting it in your WiFi list and then scanning the bar code?

I think that's how I did mine, I only powered up one node at a time, manually selected it, scanned the barcode (or enter the password) and then the app found it.
