As a router, this isn't much to write home about. However, this router has a Repeater mode, allowing it to act as an extender should you have any bad Wi-Fi spots in your home. It's 3 x 5dBi Antennas should ensure good coverage. Most reviews on site seem good too which is a bonus

Sounds like a sanitary product. I wonder if the single only works once a month?
I've used a few products from Tenda I can said they are nothing to write home about. Every router I tested never gave the speed that it sad it could handle. That annoyed me the most. I have hight speed internet and these devices say they can move speeds up to such and such but they never do. Yes they are cheap but they are quite cheap in how they work also.

Would this work with a Sky router?
Can you use it to connect to wifi and distribute over Ethernet WITHOUT it rebroadcasting the wifi, which most repeaters do. So as a wireless to Ethernet bridge.
Tenda is a well-established brand. There is nothing remarkable about it, but nothing wrong either.
Ordered...good deal. I have a cruddy Virgin Superhub 2 - 2.4ghz often drops out....and the range is terrible. Not sure whether to use this as a repeater to see how well it extends (but suspect will still get the dropouts) .....or attempt to use it with SH2 in modem mode. Only downside then would be the 100mb ports intead of gigabit

Spend a bit more if you're going down the Modem mode route. Get something with Gigabit ethernet ports at least.

Cheers, I'd ordered it anyway - worth a shot trying out at the price. I'm going to connect it as my main router, with the SH in modem mode, just out of curiosity to see how well the range works etc.....but will then shortly after revert back and then use it just as a wifi repeater, as my SH wireless is dead after just 2 walls about about 10metres.
well mine arrived about a week ago but just got round to setting it up. Overall.....whilst only running in repeater mode at the moment, its a lot better than the VM supercrud 2 in wireless range.

I was under the impression that when running it in wireless extender mode that it would use/share the same ssid as the main hub, but doesn't seem to be the case.....shows up as Tendaxxxxx.....but I can join that fine. I wonder if it allows to simply enter a matching SSID or if that causes problems

I've yet to try running it as a main router with my SH2 in modem mode however, but I like some of the options I can see in it, compared to the SH2 rubbish
