Price back down to 79.99. Bought them last time they were at this price and have improved my coverage immeasurably (not literally, I'm sure you could measure it somehow!). Dead easy to set up.

Have my ps4 plugged in to one through LAN which has also helped with stability over WiFi.

As previously discussed, these are limited to 100mb so you will need to upgrade to the mw6 if required.

  • Blanket your house in reliable Wi-Fi
  • AC1200 Whole Home Mesh WiFi System
  • 4000 sq ft WiFi range
  • Hassle free gaming and streaming experience simultaneously
  • Easy and fast setup with pre- configuration
  • Management with Tenda WiFi App
  • With one single SSID and password the MW3 automatically performs handover without interrupting services

make way for wifi 6

it's not just the throughput, it's the number of connected devices that it can handle with ease
These are great. Got two on offer last year for my parents' house. Not a single call since for the old off-and-on tech support or complaint that they can't get wifi in the garden. They just work.

Thanks robodan, hadn't heard of WiFi 6. Just read up on it on cnet and sure looks like it will speed things up for some people and handle more traffic. Not sure it will help with distance issues but definitely an improvement overall.

Totally agree. And I love that I can temporarily blacklist my daughter's tech when she is supposed to be doing her homework
Just installed a set of these. I have a Virgin superhub 3 and every now and again I had to reboot it as the internet was crawling. Installation was a breeze and all seemed well until I did a broadband speed test and they were a lot slower than the Virgin router.
OK I thought, maybe the better coverage will make up for it - but the following morning checking facebook in the bedroom and no images were displaying - switched back to the Virgin wifi and boom - they all popped up. Not sure if there's anything I can do to improve them as I only installed yesterday.
Always found Tenda stuff unreliable.
Had same issue as you. Great signal according to the tenda ap, but ridiculous speeds.

Already posted on the 24th May. They have been the same price since. I know this because I have been swaying over buying these or not since then. Box want £15 for delivery to my postcode, claiming it is a "remote area of the UK". It is 10 miles from a major city. I hear others complain about this issue, but it is the first website I have experienced this with and we buy a LOT online.

Did you put the Virgin router into Modem Mode?

No I figured I try it without doing that first - would it make a difference?

Ignore me. The MW3s aren’t routers, so you need then Virgin device on and in “normal” mode, but you need to turn the Virgin Wireless OFF.
Had these for a few months now. Well worth the money, to give you a nice wifi mesh for your whole home.
Only issues with the MW3 model is it only supports 100MB ehternet, so if you are like me and have a 500mb fibre broadband, and you want to remove this 100mb network constraint, you will need atleast a single MW6 box (supports 1000MB) which is also supported in the same MW3 mesh

Thanks bisto. For some reason that one doesn't show up when I search for it. I'll expire this one. If you can get them to deliver for a decent price then I would really recommend them. Are they able to deliver to a local store for £4.95 instead?

I looked at that and may still choose that option. Thanks.

How do I turn the virgin wireless off?

Log in via it’s 192.168 IP Address and just disable it, so the MW3s handle all the WiFi.

Worked brilliantly for me. I have a 5-bed house and my router is in my office room at the corner of the house, so my poor BT home hub 5 struggles to reach the rest. I ran an ethernet wire down to another room downstairs and connected my old home hub 3 as an AP which kind of worked ok, except that whenever I watched BT Sport nobody could get any WiFi throughput. I stuck these into 4 corners of the house and turned off all the BT WiFi and everywhere in the house gets full 3 bars of signal and full speed on my speedtest app. I only get ~42Mbs internet because I'm in the sticks and no FTTP here, so perfect for me since I don't need the faster speeds of the newer (more expensive) kit.

if I turn off the wifi on my virgin superhub how will I turn it on again?

Either by accessing it through a wired connection or a hard reset.
