A word of warning, we bought 2 of these when we just moved house for our 2 work pcs, my partners is out of range even though he's just in the room above the router and myself i got 10mbps download speed, i changed to a pcie wifi card and now get 70mbps (which is our quoted amount).. also it seemed to stop responding unless you switched usb ports every now and again.

Cheap for a reason, absolute pants
I am using one on a laptop two rooms away from my router, getting full 150mbps connection. Tried in the room furthest away from BT router and getting full 150mbps connection. Must be an issue with either this adpater or your router settings.

Is this USB 2 or 3?
The answer was a full one click away:
    "AC650 Mbps | USB 2.0"

It works a treat with Windows stuff .. but a total fail on Linux DietPi, I was hoping to get it working with my RPi4 ..

    Brill price this (edited)
Does it work on Raspberry Pi OS? With the latest updates and the ability to use as hotspot, a faster WiFi dongle would be great.

I don't know much about these, is this really worth getting for W10 and does it being USB 2.0 have any bearing on using it in 3.0 or .1 .2 etc?
USB version will make little difference...
worth having is upto you !
I wouldn't use it as my main network though... They tend to overheat.

    Colder than an iceberg.
The 433 Mbit/s claim on a USB 2.0 device should be enough for anyone to never purchase anything from this manufacturer.
The fact that they don't disclose the chipset is just the cherry on top.

For anyone wondering, it's a Realtek chipset so this adapter will never work on Linux.

These are great value. Getting 90mbs using steam link with a WiFi 5 router.

Was £5.49 last month when I bought a couple. Work excellently on 5g setting with my BT FTTP router.

Need one of these for a 10 year old i7 PC I built, we have 200 meg speeds at the router. Any reccomendations? PC is USB 2.0
This item will do nicely. I have a 13 year old Dell Inspiron 1750, as recommended on HUKD in 2009, and this item works fine.
