Came across this on offonhols.com and looks like a great deal for the time of year and destination.

So I've been looking for a good deal to Tenerife in July 2015, and this is the best I can find. I found cheaper, but this deal ticks every box for me. Great Hotel (very highly rated on Trip Advisor 4.5/5), superb location, and best of all the price - just £172 for flights, accommodation and transfers.

The hotel itself is a 3* Marola Portosin apartment complex, located just a short stroll from the beach in Playa de las Americas and close enough to the nightlife if that's what you're looking for, or just far enough away if you're not. Reading through Trip Advisor, it looks like people are pleased with the cleanliness of the rooms, friendliness of the staff and the 2 for 1 drink offers!

The flights between London Gatwick and Tenerife South and are as follows

Outbound Flight Wed 1 Jul '15
ZB284 with Monarch
Departs 15:00 - 19:30

Return Flight Wed 8 Jul '15
DY5354 with Norwegian Airlines
Departs 14:30 - 18:35

Transfers can be added when booking for a cost of £23 that I have included in the cost of this deal. You can also add additional luggage allowance as required.

Note that this is based on 3 Adults travelling.

I also managed to get this a little cheaper without transfers through Alpharooms and Ryanair, but for the sake of convenience, I find the deal with lowcostholidays better.

Total hotel price £214.86
Total flight price £277.00
Compulsory Extras £3.00
Transfers £23.00
Total = £517.86 / 3 persons = £172.62

Car hire best option. Good deal.

That's a good idea, for completeness, car hire is offered through lowcostholidays at a cost of £10 per day but I'm sure there are other options available as well.

Book DIRECT never ever use lowcost 'holidays'

Why?

yeah low cost holidays are not ATOL registered so if they go bust you loose money and holiday!

I wonder if the same deal would be available on like travel republic

There's an airport bus that shuttles between las Americas Los christianos and airport etc for 6 euros odd runs about every 25 mins or so. Easy peasy

ive been looking at tenerife as a holiday destination as the last three years we have been to turkey and fancied a change. Need to go in summer holidays aswell but there are five of us.
When people say direct, do they mean book with the hotel and and then book flights etc on there own.

Try pluscar for car hire, I've always used them in fuerteventura, all inclusive fully insured price, unlimited mileage,no return empty and pay for fuel policy, free kids car seats too!

I'm looking for Tenerife in March AI but £500 everywhere i look this is a good deal for July.

Good find

ok, I 'booked' a holiday to Menorca paid straight away.

Lowcost then booked flights 2 days later and ,as we all know the flights go up, they then have cheek to ring me up from India asking for more money or they will cancel holiday,
Then they put the wrong details in the Ryanair website, costing me money to change (& some details couldn't be changed to will arrived at the airport resulting in all sitting seperatly)
Two weeks after booking and 1 week before we went LC rang to say villa double booked and we couldn't have it, alternative offered was a awful, about 20 phone calls later we got a average villa offered but first night in hotel
When we arrived at midnight in Menorca LC said they had changed villa AGAIN and like it or lump it, dumped in resort 2 in morning, no key to get in

NOT ATOL protected, when I rang LC to complain, smarmy man said no compensation end of.

That's why, thank you.

It's about 25 euros each way in a taxi, a bit dearer but split between 3 adults only just over 8 euro and you'll be there in less than 20 minutes!

That's a horror story and I'd hope that wouldn't be the norm with them. Anyone else with any experience, good or bad with LCH?

Deffo use a cab, much quicker and easier. Worth the few euros more and the cabs are on meters so no bartering before you get in!

Shocking apartment complex. Avoid at all costs. It's a bargain for a reason

Used them about a dozen times. Always for short breaks to benidorm and never had an issue. Have heard of many others complaining about them though.

Ignore my comment. Jumped in with two feet thinking this was the St George

Mar Ola gets great reviews and we stayed at their sister complex over 20 years ago

The only thing I will say is, it will be full of rowdy teenagers July/August and I wouldn't recommend for a family

best hotel in tenerife, been loads of times. great deal

Low cost holidays put us in a dump of an "AI" hotel a few years back. Only certain parts were AI at certain times. Our transfer bus had us sitting in the mid day sun for over an hour waiting for other flights to arrive.
When ringing to complain, we got fobbed of left right and center.

Tenerife is a fab place, been about 25 times. Bus service from airport is a doddle as is the local taxis (come out of arrivals and turn right).
Any SCUBA divers or people interested in SCUBA diving, check out Atlantic Divers in costa del silencio. Thr owner Geoff and his team do local hotel pick ups and drop offs included in try dives (your entry into the undersea world) diving courses and guided dives for qualified divers.

I have used low cost holidays before and this was when Gold Trail went bust. We had booked through low cost with Gold Trail but we didn't know as it was shown as another name and Gold Trail was only mentioned in the small print. Low Cost never got in touch with us to let us know that our flights were booked through gold trail so we didn't actually know for a while that we would need to book new flights. However when we did find out Low Cost were helpful in directing us on how to claim our money back, which we successfully did. There is my experience of them so make of it what you will! I personally would use them again and think this is a great deal.

Cold. The Company shouldn't be allowed on HUKD

Stayed in this exact apartment during July last year as a couple. No real rowdy groups at all. The place is basic. 2 single beds we had to push together as they had no doubles which we weren't made aware of by the travel agent but not the apartments fault. Had no A/C but could rent a high velocity fan which was alritght for like 10 euros a week and WiFi 20 euros.

The place though basic was immaculate. They were repainting the hotel when it didn't have a speckle, blemish or mark on it. Was really taken a back by it. Cleaners either every day or every other, pool area kept fantastic, all employees incredibly helpful. Plenty of glasses, cutlery etc. Location is good. close to the main beach and the lovely restaurants above the Safari shopping centre.

Anyone with good experience of LCH?

Our family of 8 have just spent Christmas in Los Cristianos (Paradise Park Resort & Spa) after booking through LCH. Didn't have any problems at all. Looking forward to spending Christmas there again next year.

Someone above mentioned about LCH ringing them up increasing the price due to the flights going up. Many other travel agents do this too, we booked through Travel Republic last year and they did that exact thing when there were 12 of us going.

I think if you look hard enough you'll probably find problems with every retailer. It's just a question if the company is consistently poor.

Same here.
Booked holiday.
They then rang hour later demanding extra £60 as "flights had gone up during the process time of booking online"
Never again.

No problem. Quick amendment, it was July 2013 I went. Head still in 2014.

For a 3* it's sublime. For a young couple on a budget it was fantastic. I prefer apartments over hotels as often like having a drink before going out for a meal or a few cocktails. Playa De Las Americas was really good for young couple. Plenty of quieter, nicer bars for a lovely local beer and a cocktail off the strip. Lots of lovely restaurants close to these apartments and the beach. Big supermarket couple mins walk and bus stop for loads of the excursions 5 mins walk.

Couldn't leave without mentioning Papagayo Beach Club. Although at the very end of the strip it is a million miles away from what you expect from the rest of the strip. Fantastic in the day lounging on the white leather sofa and beds having a cocktail overlooking the Atlantic and at night plays chill house music, totally open top. Like something from Ibiza. Even had a Saxophonist accompanying the music. Was fabulous!

I've always found autoreisen best for car hire. Collect your keys from their desk as soon as you clear customs instead of waiting for your cases then going to collect.
