Ordered! Thank you
Looks good but the reviews both state showerproof and in that case, I'd rather go with something with at least one rear pocket for a bottle.
Not waterproof
It's a shame Tenn went bankrupt, I was trying to get some more of their mountain bike/casual shorts as they've lasted so well and really comfy.

Not waterproof

Do you have one? It's good for the price even so. Do tell more about the waterproofing (lack off) please.

At this price, it's either wet from the outside or wet from the inside!

AKA boil in the bag.
Good for shorter rides when it is a bit damp.

yep it is a boil in the bag I think - but I am happy with that for winter especially for this price!
Wearing black cycling gear is very dangerous. Avoid.

Personally I wouldn't wear black cycling gear. Not because it's dangerous, but because coroners tend to use it as a reason to explain away when a cyclist has been killed by a bad piece of driving. Note it's not my intention to start a tiresome cyclist Vs motorist argument. I drive and ride and wish the argument was less polarised than it always gets reduced down to.

So many jackets described as waterproof these days, when they’re actually barely water resistant at all...

If you don't wear a black jacket they'll just blame something else. I got knocked off my bike, full hi-viz, lights by a driver on the wrong side of the road who was flooring it trying to overtake between two chicanes. The police (thankfully not coroner) said in the report that I "didn't take evasive action".

I assume they had seen plenty of BMW videos and thought I should have hopped up onto the kerb. Or flown vertically into the air.

Either way, as a cyclist, you are to blame.

I've worn black cycling gear for years on my commute, day and night.

What's important is having sufficient lighting at night, and of course reflectives to enhance visibility from all sides. I have reflectives on helmet, spokes, rear mudguard and frame.

Plain black clothing with zero reflective stripping anywhere is obviously a bad idea, particularly at night but it doesn't stop tracksuit clad muppets with manbags on mountain bikes at night without any lights doing their "deliveries" whilst texting with both hands.
Large is gone

Like a car?
Black is actually the most visible colour at night , along with white and orange

which funnily enough is exactly the combination on this jacket

Just received mine and road tested it in this horrendous weather! I can assure you it is waterproof... though I took it off and put it down somewhere but now can’t find it as it is black (other than the lighter shade of black in the middle which some call ‘white’)

How breathable is it? I have a trespass pac a mac kind of thing that I keep in my bag for downpours, but I tend not to use it as it gets so hot and clammy that I prefer the rain

I can confirm I am still breathing too
It is thicker (quite nice) soft material - MUCH more breathable than pac a mac but would take up a more space in your bag!
