I'm just considering this phone. Just want to know what people think. Not a blockbuster deal but seems a reasonable spec for the price. If you have spare 90-ish pounds, feel free to buy and write a verified review.

Has 800MHz/B20 and a newish Mediatek MTK6737T.
Not sure if it is still plagued by the GPS navigation issues though. Seller has decent feedback. So if it's a flop, you still shouldn't have a problem with a refund.

Update 1: the charger is for Europe probably. So it may be wise to ask if the seller has a UK one.

Thanks. Will I have to add VAT to that? Says ships from China.
Probably not.

As noted, unlikely though Amazon one has a (likely useful) warranty.
My daughter bought this exact phone on my recommendation. She likes it! Had no problems with the GPS lock. She paid £77 about six months ago from AliExpress.

Having said all that, had I been recommending a sub-£100 phone to her today, I would go with the deal I posted yesterday...

It got icy cold by for £90, you do get an awful lot of phone.
It's cheap because it has malware built in:

Don't let the fact that it's fulfilled by Amazon fool you - they don't check this sort of thing. I know because I got a Cubot Max which was fulfilled by Amazon a few months ago and that had malware on it as well.
I have a doogee.
It's fine.

Fulfilled by Amazon, you won't have any problems returning for refund, always return no questions asked, always recieved full refund, every now and again I have to ask for postage to be refunded as I always choose return reason "im compatible for intended purpose" live chat always gives me instant refund, sometimes even if items still in transit to Amazon! Best place to buy and try, then return if cheaper elsewhere!
Just watch - too many returns and your account may be closed! Along with those at your address! Google "watchdog amazon closing accounts".

Thank you for the comment. My fault. I hadn't thought about it when posting the deal. Thank you for the valuable research as well.

Few things among others did alarm me in it. #1 Google was spelled Goolge on the box in one of the review images (could have been photoshop though) :-). #2 Still mentions GPS issues.

As for the malware issue, I completely agree with you - it will be a deal-breaker for many people, and rightly so. I suppose, my makeshift practical solution to this would actually be the one you chose: just after you got it, get the latest OTA update, get Bitdefender, run a scan. If it comes up with malware return it. I wonder what you quoted when you returned your Cubot Max.

Perhaps one could argue, if you so happen to be among the "unlucky" lot, who can't afford the latest iPhone, this malware thing, in general, is more of a philosophical issue. Because when you google "[list of] phones with malware" you will come up with the likes of Samsung Galaxy S7, Xiaomi Redmi, LG G4 etc. from seemingly reputable sources.

As I recall, the Shoot 1 doesn't arrive in the box with malware but gets infected when you apply the first OTA update. I told my daughter to turn off updates.
