I don't think that's right. If you go to Germany in a motor home you can only buy 50Bar and you need to buy a german type regulator to fit their reversed seal bottles, everything works as it should, I can't see why it wouldn't work the other way round.

Yes I think so. But 1 review saying it shouldn't be selling in UK.

Here is the review

This is the 50mbar German version. The UK version is 37mbar and has a regulator which carries the BS (EN 12864). The seller shouldn’t be offering this in the UK
...though you could swap out the regulator for about a tenner

Was tempted till you pointed out our German friends can buy this nearly £60 cheaper. Rip off Britain strikes again.
Either way on the price of these two the english version has been cheaper for some time by another seller, just not right now.

...’Shed clutter’ - great phrase and quite apt

A new UK regulator will sort that out. If you know someone who’s LPG qualified, it wouldn’t be expensive

The working pressure from a UK regulator made to BS 12864 is 37mb, however the tolerances allow up to 45mb.

The injectors will likely be identical.
Trying hard not to waste my money on this, on the other hand, if I’m going to be eating steak nearly every night I will become a Beast.......or Obese?(confused)

Good spot, although factor in £22 for delivery from Germany and the difference is just under £40.

Exactly same with iPhone usa gets cheaper and we get ripped off
I've seen these at a trade show and the steel is thin and can be bent by hand. These things seem to be popping up more frequently on ebay and amazon. My mate in Germany has one of these types of cooker and apparently they are massive there, even selling in Aldi. There is another company in the UK called NuBroiler who uses thick food grade steel for not much more money than this, they seem better build quality. I saw them at Maldon Smoke and Fire Festival

The Injectors are different for the UK. They wouldn't reach the 800°c temp without modification

This is exactly why we need Brexit, so that we can free ourselves from the EU's tyranny and unfair controls, and be in charge of our own destinies and pricing!
(it may not be entirely clear, but this is firmly tongue in cheek...)

The NuBroiler is almost twice the price on their site. The steel on this machine is thin. Mine arrived bent. If you want one quicker and are prepared to pay another £9, BBQland have them in stock for next day delivery. It appears the Beefer grill is the best quality but it is 3 x the price.

? The Nubroilers start at £199 according to their site? They have more expensive ones but they seem bigger and have more steel which prob explains the higher prices

Showing the cheapest as being $400 for me?? Not made in Germany either, not sure if that's good or bad (quality wise).
Is there a vegan friendly version of this?

Ah look at the UK page (nubroiler uk) . They are starting at £199 on there as they have an extra model the other page doesn't seem to show.
I spoke to the guy at maldon, they are nicely made and weigh quite a bit compared to when I picked up a Tepro. He told me they are comparable in materials and build etc to beefer which you are right are very expensive. Are beefer made in Germany or just assembled there? I've found that is a trick many of the big pellet smokers use I. E assembled in the USA which is a bit sneaky.

That model has 1 shelf, no regulator and is half the height (and only 2 levels of adjustment). The grill and handle on the 1 grill pan is not removable either and only made of wire, not stamped steel. Their equivalent model is the N1 and it's more than twice the price of this machine (and may also exclude a regulator and hose). If you want to spend big money on this type of grill, the Beefer is the one to get.

The LITE? That one comes with the hose and has three height levels and they sell the thicker steel grill and handles as extra. The guy told me the idea for that one is that you can take it out and about, the others are more stay at home. Apparently they are releasing a little adaptor soon as well so you can use the camping canisters of gas.

I saw the grill in the N1. Twice as thick as the tepro ones.

The N1 and N2 were really impressive, but he told me the output of the N1 and LITE were the same, just a design difference with less steel to make it more portable. Their Facebook page looks interesting. Kebab skewers and rotisserie kits for them etc.
