Rookie BBQ’er here... I’ve zero experience with these.
But is this a decent BBQ to start with? I’m looking for one to use over the next few years when it’s nice.
Advice and recommendations welcome!
It is going to be my first BBQ. When I read reviews off Amazon, most of them were very good.
I’ve always bought the cheap £30 ones which last a 2 or 3 years max. Is this one worth the extra?
Looks like a great deal.

In the images from Lidl it shows a BBQ cover and tools. Do we know if these are included?
I guess you need to buy them separately. Cover is 5£ and tools are 20£. However, I have read BBQ itself comes with 3years warranty.

gets mixed reviews on amazon, seems quality control isn't great - if you are lucky and get one with decent welds might be OK but will need looked after
Looks like a step up from the cheap ones, but they seem to have a LOT of quality issues from amazon reviews... so check the box for damage before purchase !
May well take a chance though... ;-)

AVAILABLE FROM 11 APRIL...

I have one of these, well worth the money and should last several years if well maintained. John Lewis wanted around£200 for one of a similar build quality.
Just picked one up. I will let you guys know of build quality once I have put it together and ease of use on the weekend!

Thanks mate. Just bought one.
Fingers crossed for some decent weather this weekend (In Scotland!!!)
Day off today and just built one of these. The box was reassuringly heavy at Lidl.

Easy to assemble and great build quality, this thing is solid. At £80 it's a bargain.

As others have said, let's just hope for the good weather so we can get the burgers on, the beers out, and let the good times roll!!! 🍻 🍔 🎶 🤪

A massive step up on the £20 or £30 job so expect this to last a lot longer than the cheaper ones. Looks more like the quality of £200 ones you see at garden centres.
Put it together today...was pretty straightforward.

Build quality is good...80quid good. Panels and pieces slot in to creat a solid piece. The adjustable coal tray works well but metal is thin and not 100%level.

For £80 itll probably last you 3years or so.
Will use it tomorrow if weather is good.
my one word review - avoid.
can do better
