But Probably Region A Only

Bit pointless for UK Blu ray players!

A good chance it will be Region Free, Lionsgate tend to be 50/50 with regards to coding but with it being released here and the US about the same time may be free.

Have it on order

So would the picture be the same as the previous blu ray release?

It evens states on the website

R1 - Will only play on North American Blu-ray players

It's due for release in the uk 2 weeks after the us release so you might aswell just get the uk version.

Yeah but it says that for all there releases, If you want to see what releases are region free there are various websites that tell you. Link below as an example.

bluray.liesinc.net/

As kevd said liongate movies are 50/50 as to wheather there region free so it's best to either wait until just before it's released as the region free websites generally know know just before there offical releases or just get the uk version that comes out 2 weeks later.

but not if one have a specially imported a Region A US PS3 for things like this BDs still out in the US sooner, and in quite a few cases better than UK/RB releases.

and isn't it annoying websites, and people in general, still saying Region 1 for US BluRays & Region 2 for UK BDs etc, when BluRay is Officially divided into Regions A B C, NOT 1 2 3 4 5 6 etc, that is the old DVD Region coding divide.

This is why HD DVD was the format that should have won. We wouldnt have to worry about region codes at all

is this the directors cut or just the theatrical release again? I am waiting for directors cut.

The current Blu Ray release is the directors cut as will this one.

Is the picture and sound going to be better?

I'll stick with my Ultimate Edition DVD. It has 3 versions of the film including the rare 'special' extended edition with new ending. plus more extras than you can throw a stick at
