Series 1.

Humans vs. cyborgs in a movie spin-off that's surprisingly effective for fans of both action and character drama Newsday, This show lives up to its franchise's reputation for suspenseful action TV Guide, Director David Nutter gets the series off to a rousing start, practically packing every frame with suspense, special effects and an urgency that drives this show like an incessant drumbeat Hollywood Reporter, One of the more humanizing adventures in science fiction to arrive in quite a while, the series is taut, haunting, relevant, and an exploration of adolescent exceptionalism rendered without the cheerleading uniforms and parody of HEROES New York Times, As much as the show recalls the movies, it also recalls some of the best work ever done in the genre for TV: the Buffy universe of Joss Whedon. Most every blast of portent and bombast is lightened by a throwaway joke; scenes of intense action and violence give way to equally well-realized scenes of domestic life that root the fantasy in emotional reality USA Today, Under director David Nutter and show-runner Josh Friedman, the first two hours roll a slick brand extension off this profitable assembly line Variety

Series 2

Picking up where TERMINATOR 2 - JUDGEMENT DAY left off, THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES continues the epic battle of man against machine. Having successfully defeated one Terminator in the previous film, Sarah (Lena Headey, RIPLEY'S GAME) realises that the world is no longer a safe place for her or her teenage son John (Thomas Dekker, TV's HEROES). So she makes it their mission to bring down Skynet, the artificial intelligence system responsible for causing all this robo-mayhem. But how do you outmanoeuvre an ever-evolving technology that's hell-bent on wiping out the entire human race? With great difficulty, it turns out. Not only are they being hunted by a bunch of time-travelling, renegade cyborgs, but they're also on the run from the law. Salvation comes in the form of a human-friendly Terminator named Cameron (Summer Glau, SERENITY), who befriends John and serves as their protector. FBI Agent James Ellison, who is originally assigned to capture the Connors, ends up joining their resistance against Cyberdyne Corporation, the company behind Skynet. This release presents every episode from the second series of the sci-fi spinoff.

yeah it was cancelled after season 2.

there was a net campaign to maybe try and get it renewed, or picked up by another network but nothing came of it, which was a shame as it was slowly starting to get interesting i felt.

plus, more summer glau can never be a bad thing.

Yep, season 3 got cancelled, shame really. Agree S02 was a bit of a letdown, but it had legs for a third season.

Cheers
Its annoying when a series gets cancelled, I enjoyed flashforward but it got dropped by the network because of falling viewing figures in America, shame another network didnt pick it up

i heard this is rubbish hmmm still tempted at this price

Hm .. great deal deal, definitely worth it for a great show like this !

American TV execs are some of the dumbest people on the planet. They cancel shows because of low ratings at the time it is aired. They completely ignore the what people have recorded to watch later or watched (legally or otherwise) on the net. A show like T:TSCC might not have had great figures when it was broadcast but it still had a huge following ... but if people aren't watching to see the 40 mins of programme and 20 minutes of adverts 'live', they kill it.

Great show. Great ideas. Dumb Executive decision.

The curse of Summer Glau it would seem...still think they should bring back firefly

Agree was a good show, could have got 3rd season

You'll need to buy a packet of crisps with the promotion on, or do what I do, and look for people at work who are eating a packet, and ask for their empty packet!
