Easily done i often forget what year it is

Hopefully they’ll do a good job of this on switch. Skyrim on the go, who would of thought that was possible when it was first released! Heat

Can get digital for £37 if you change your Nintendo account to south africa temporarily and then switch back. See what I did there...

Tbh for me. Physical > digital without account sharing like the PS4 or Xbox one.

Resell value > digital sharing > digital.
Unless you're a collector of games (which I'm not ).

95p more then I can experience this port and sell on for about £30, seems like a decent renters fee.

I know. I ordered back in April when they did the 20 off 150 promo (I think) and this price is getting close to being cheaper.

It baffles me that this gets heat at this price. Deals posted for the special edition on PS4/XBO around launch last year for circa £30 (which is still too much for a remaster in my view) were getting mega cold votes.

Anybody have any pre-order experience with Cool-Shop - good or bad?

Sadly the PS4 remaster is £17 or less nowadays on sales like boomerang rentals.

But for the Switch you're going to have a hard time finding a price close to a remaster prices of the other consoles (£25 ish).

I went for this as I know the resell value is strong for switch games. Plus I want it on the tablet over the PS4. But normally I would've gone the route of of the PS4 version.

And I completely agree the cost is high for a remaster. But look at Doom and mk8. Their sitting at close to £50 to buy them from most stores :0

Nintendo tax. I was on the fence with this one as well as I was expecting to pay up to £30, but portability factor won.

Find the Switch version cheaper and I might agree with you. Nintendo tax along with cost of physical media and also the probably quite substantial dev time to get this working on a handheld justifies the cost.

Portability does justify some of the price, but £38 for an old game? Nah. I've never paid anything near that for any Vita game, even when it first released.
I'm thankful though that Nintendo didn't take Sony's approach to memory cards!

Nectar double-up next week - guess what i'm getting

Should I get this or Breath of the Wild ? we only have Splatoon 2 at the moment, our only Switch game, my son plays it but it's not my type of game. (I like RPG games).

Hot..

Can't wait for portal skyrim! I've bought it twice already on PC and PS4 but never had the time to sit in front of the TV to finish it!

If you have to choose between Breath of the Wild and Skyrim then BotW all the way..

If you only have Splatoon 2 then you should probably get Mario Odyssey first!

Yeah we hardly ever use Switch, we use PS4 and 3DS more.

I would never advise anyone other than a child to buy Mario Odyssey before Zelda Breath of the Wild... Zelda wins hands down on any game out at the moment. Buy that and you won't need another game for a good while. By that point Skyrim should be cheaper, Mario however will probably cost the same...

I absolutely love Breath of the Wild but I also think Mario Odyssey is enjoyable for people of all ages.. My girlfriend hasn't stopped playing Odyssey for the last week and even my dad picked up a few moons here and there..this game is simply joy and fun..

Either way I think every Switch owners should get both Zelda and Mario Odyssey even if they only buy two games on this platform.

Sorry but Mario and Zelda are different styles of games but both cater for gamers of all ages.. dismissing Mario over Zelda, just seems silly.

Mario reinvents the sandbox platformer, just as much as Zelda reinvented itself..

I own both the Vita and Switch and they aren’t comparable really. Switch games are far deeper and more advanced.

Love the vita but but Switch - switch is more comparable to ps4 and Xbox one for size of games and depth in games - obviously frame rates and graphics suffer due to ability to play on go but many seem to underestimate how good the switch is

This is irrelevant to the question that was asked, which was "Should I get this or Breath of the Wild?".....

Magicpork said to get Odyssey first... So, my answer stands. Which in my opinion, regardless of differences, there is no game that matches Zelda. So that should be the first choice, I have both so I'm in a position to give my opinion.

I highly recommend Zelda, first one of the series I’ve ever played I’ve probably played over 100 hours of it and still not bored. If you have a switch surely it’s a must buy.

Zelda is that good, that it didn't leave the Switch for long enough to lose the case.....

One problem with that however, is that it could have a negative effect on future marketing/game releases. As they collect that data to see which games sell in which places.

Just thought to bring up. But definitely a good price for digital.

I played Zelda botw on the Wii U, it was a decent game. Solid game play, but it wasn't a traditional Zelda game in my eyes. I completed it in about 20 hours and it's not something I think about or recommend.

Mario Odyssey is a good game as well. But this felt so much like every other 3D mario game that it just didn't feel like it pushed the series any further forward either. Rushed to complete this in about 15 hours then sold without perfecting every level.

I am hard to please with games. But honestly the one game I'm really liking is Mario + Rabbids, which is a grid system tactical Rpg.
It's a little basic compared to other games like it. But the cut scenes are a good laugh, the gameplay is solid enough to be challenging. The upgrade system is simple and a little slow between each new item. But so far this is my big game for the switch, I got to be around 25+ hours into it and still a lot to go through.

Out of botw and Odyssey, I'd personally recommend BOTW. It's a much larger game and has more to it than Mario Odyssey. But it had quite a few disappointing ideas to it as well, coming from a retro Zelda fan.

And Stardew valley!

Yes I think I will go for Breath of the Wild and Stardew Valley. We owned Nintendo for years and I am not that into Mario, I love Zelda although find them very hard. I hope BOW is easier and maybe less puzzles? also if you can grind that would be great.

I am tempted by Skyrim too because after having Wii, Wii U and 3ds for 10 years, we only recently bought PS4 and I heard so much about Skyrim.

The reason I mentioned the Vita is that both are portable consoles that were the most advanced upon release. I never paid anything like £40 for even a newly released 'AAA' Vita game back in the day, let alone a port of an old game (P4G was about £30 when it was released I think).
I think the Switch is a great machine, but I don't think that excuses charging ~£40 just for a portable version of an old game. I wouldn't take issue with a ~£40 price for something like BotW.

Hot! Been put off buying this because of the high price, but I think £37 will do fine. Also managed to get a bit of cashback from TopCashBack to help bring the cost down a touch more.

Never heard of Coolshop before but they seem to have a good Trustpilot rating, so hopefully will get the game on release too! 😄

It'll be on low settings for sure sadly.. can't wait for Bethesda to re-release if for the 100th time in 2030 when we will have ultra 4K handhelds...

You're a special human that's for sure. If someone asks should I get Skyrim or Zelda BOTW, what relevance is Mario? As you said it's a different type of game, so why is it a relevant response. The simple answer, is it's not. The photo is to prove I have both as some people just act like they have both, why would I brag about games?. I could also post a picture that I have Skyrim special edition on the Xbox one, but again it would have little relevance as that isn't the Nintendo Switch version....

OK well we will leave it there, when personal insults come into play then its not worth debating with someone so immature.. for the record I never brought Mario up, i simply said it shouldn't be dismissed as a child's game over BoTW, which was what you implied.

So why exactly did you post photos of your switch collection? just smacked of pretentiousness
