Its ok everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I dont want to get drawn into a big political debate by this but my simplistic view;

It was a great tasting drink... it is no longer a great tasting drink. I totally understand the manufacturer has responded to new guidelines but I dont believe it should compromise the integrity of the original product. I would rather pay the premium of a higher priced item and moderate my own sugar intake. Lets face it sweetners come with their own set of problems anyway.

Perhaps leave it as it was and stop putting artificial crap in it making it taste worse than before?

Hmm. well to me sucralose tastes quite like sugar and unless it has been completely changed a lot of the other ingredients were probably in that as well flavourings, citric acid, preservatives, stabilizers etc

You've already proven that your tastebuds don't work.
Plenty of people can tell the difference. Just because you cant, doesn't mean that it "tastes the same". Quite simply, it doesn't.

Rio is still amazing, not changed to reduce sugar yet.

Tastes glorious

1 positive doesn't undo Thier governments flaws either.
We ain't perfect far a mile, but we do at least try somewhat.

In other countries things are more wild west.. dated laws/rights, for citizens.. but also no regulation for corporations.

I was talking about the taste of the 9v
I don't consume fizzy pop or aspartame....sparkling water and a squeeze of lemon
Ting was always too sweet, even before the sweeteners were added.

San Pellegrino Pompelmo was the best grapefruit pop, actually it's still better than Ting even though it's not as good as it was.

That is a good offer though if it's not an error, £1.20 or 3 for £1 doesn't look right!

I just drink water, pop is rubbish nowadays, used to love Lilt but so watery now, no flavour
I agree with people who say UK fizzy drinks have been (mostly) ruined by the sugar tax. The "experts" who thought just the price of sugared drinks would rise and nothing else would happen ought to be put in stocks and publicly shamed (I'll throw the first tomato!).

What I can't understand is that despite decades of "development" of artificial sweeteners, apparently there still isn't one available that doesn't noticeably change the flavour of the drink it's put into for the worse. Until the industry could come up with such a sweetener, there shouldn't have been a sugar tax, IMHO.

I'm tending to just buy sparkling water in bulk nowadays instead - occasionally I'll try adding a squash to it, but even most squashes are appalling because of the sugar tax as well! The 50% high juice squashes that various supermarkets stock are probably the best of a bad bunch.

Rocks and belvoir are both good sweetener-free cordials. I'd recommend at least trying them.

Yup. Painful when this happens. Barr's (Irn Bru) did it to all their drinks including the very old recipe Irn Bru itself and it all tastes terrible now.. all for the sake of "keeping prices down" where now I just drink Pepsi 😁
