Homemade jam making time...yes!!!!

Wait 2 months and buy British for half the price and twice the flavour
These never taste nice, even if they're red. Should always smell test strawbs, if they smell good they'll probably taste good. Looking forward to British season for raspberries too. The Kenya growns ones taste awful.

That's the thing, during the English strawberry season prices are much lower. It is only demand for out of season produce that puts prices up

Are they tasty?
Country of origin?
Spain. And they're tasty enough, although I'm no expert.
Its not online(fierce)
They are only £3.50 at Morrisons

I'm pleased to hear I'm. Not the only one that goes around sniffing them before buying. My little boy loves them but he won't eat just any strawbs
Just buy a bag of carrots, probably sweeter and more tender...

Don't really get your point. It is like saying 'contains palm oil' whilst offering no further explanation.

Absolutely agrees on the Kenyan raspberries. Flavourless rubbish. Just buy frozen out of season. It's better than the imported stuff.
Had a punnet of the first British strawberries at the weekend -£2.50 for a small punnet at M&S - expensive but delicious

agreed have paid less in the last 2 seasons
Saw them last week, but 1pound for 250g is barely a good deal.
When I was a kid shop bought strawberries were reserved for the rich as was salmon. Blackberry foraging was just the very very very best. Cider was for the down and outs. Oh how times have changed, even to the point that my phone autocorrected to “BlackBerry’! Heat btw.
from my experience ( I am a big strawberry eater and my tastebuds may not be like yours). Spanish are sweet and some tangy. Whereas the british strawberries ones are bit more sweet a little less sour. and before anyone plays the race card Im british and mrs is spanish, so no need for funny commentary.
These were awesome, I wasn't sure about the quality as they were Spanish ones, but the family finish them all within 10 mins. I went back on Sunday and today hoping to buy some more but no luck yet.
These days strawberry is full of toxic !!! dailymail.co.uk/hea…tml

Morrisons have it for £3.50 but 900grams. Still cheaper!
250g for a quid is terrible value here.

Or just eat one. Looks less dodgy than sniffing it!
Meh, literally saving 30p compared to other supermarkets

And from Thursday lidl have 400g punnets on for £1.19 / £2.98kg

Daily mail lol, must be true
I've stopped buying cheap supermarket strawberries, they're always massively under-ripe and flavourless. dread to think how white they'd be if you cut them in half. You can't even ripen them at home, they don't ripen once picked, they just go soft and mushy.
Planted a dozen strawberry plants in the garden over the weekend at a cost of £12. For them to be better value than these Tesco strawberries I'll need go harvest 3 kilos of fruit, damn!

They're overrated anyway I prefer something like a Blueberry, Pineapple, Apple, Orange, Kiwi fruit over strawberries
I don't find strawberries that nice on it's own unless you had stuff
Not bad, but we all know Tiptee, Essex (Wilkin & Son) are the best in the world..
Why all the got votes. Strawberries are under £3.50 per kg in most places regularly. Sheep sheep comes too mind.
