The fresh Sainsbury's Taste the Differnce ones are as good as I have had outside a real takeaway/restaurant, (Still not very close!) mind you, I am not much of a Tesco shopper if I can avoid it, so hadn't tried theirs, and now I can't eat carbohydrate rich foods like Naan, any more, I won't be getting to try them! :-(

For cheapies, the long life type, both Aldi & Lidl always have normal prices less than the level of this post, so the full price is nothing special but on BOGOF, doesn't seem at all bad

It's a good job you clarified that BOGOF means i'll get 4. I'd have never have worked that out otherwise.

Even better with a smear of butter too.... and, while I think of it, a Tikka Chicken Dupiaza, with Ghobi Aloo on the side! Hmm... Couple of Reshmi Kebabs wouldn't harm either :-)

Needs to be baked in a Clay Oven to be anywhere near 'authentic', therefore, supermarket Nans do not qualify. Try Ilford instead.

The BOGOF offer is also on pita bread, malt loaf and some other thing i can't remember! (cheapest one free obviously..)

I agree, but like everything else, some ordinary ones are better than others!

Some of the worst examples are to be found in ethnic grocers shops, dire :-(

how do you know they are not? They are already cooked you know when you buy them.

Are we going to start posting every single BOGOF supermarket offer on this site?
How this has got to over 300c is beyond me, everything should start at zero with 100c being 'boiling point'

Been this offer for a week. Have to say they aren't very nice compared to the Sains TTD ones.

I doubt they are, as I have never seen any with the texture on the back where they have been stuck to the inside of the Tandoor :-(

Actually I do know of an Indian Takeaway which has no Tandoor, which makes a very good flavoured Nan all the same... using a cast iron "Tawa" and an electric grill! Generally they are better with the real thing though, and even better still if it is a CHARCOAL fired Tandoor - these are much rarer now as they take a lot to run, in terms of cost, mess, storage of charcoal, and are not as controllable or as quick to fire up as the gas fired ones.

Ah, as I usually find with Tesco products then - not usually up there with the best, which is why I never understand why they are so popular a retailer!

For what it's worth, these are now 55p and BOGOF.
