Lightweight and easy to handle, this 250W grass trimmer from Tesco benefits from an integrated second handle for extra reach. It has a cutting width of 21cm, making it great for those small trimming tasks around the garden. A long 6m cable gives you the freedom of movement to tackle those hard to reach areas. Also included is a 1.2mm double cutting line with bump feed system, which requires you to tap the head of the grass trimmer on the ground to release more line.

They also have 15% off selected Black & Decker Garden power tools (Black & Decker strimmer is £22.50) - link to promo

Nice lightweight trimmer. However, I've found it a nightmare to find a replacement line cartridge. I just bought one from Tesco and it does not fit, nor does one I bought off eBay!

Could you not buy line and wrap it around the old spool?
Nice, ordered. I was looking for some cheap trimmer just for those tricky corners in my garden.
Bought one of these last year, line kept breaking on it, bump and feed system never worked, spent ages each time trying to re-thread the line each time it broke. Total waste of money IMO,
Spend a bit more and invest in a decent one first off. I now have a Black and Decker one which I bought from Amazon. Does the job in no time and so far line hasn't broke once.

Will this replacement line not work …Will this replacement line not work https://www.tesco.com/direct/tesco-spool-for-250w-trimmer-pack-of-2/709-1678.prd?skuId=709-1678 ?

This is the one I purchased - for some reason the hole underneath that allows it to slip into the machine is too small. Others have mentioned this in the reviews too

Yes, that's what I will end up doing. I was trying to avoid that as it's a bit fidly and if you dont do it right the line gets stuck

Yes it is fiddly, but if you're as tight as me you won't mind and you can increase the line thickness. 😋

What model did you buy?

The Tesco one was a CDGT032012, Tesco own brand 250w, still sat at the back of my shed waiting to go to the tip, should have returned it really but it was on offer when I bought it for around £10and I couldn't really be bothered which is why its still at the back of the shed.
Sorry, I meant what Black & Decker model did you buy that you are happy with.
