Avoid the Mars, they're tiny now - snack size bars!

Same deal in Wilkinson's.

Mars Bars are a total waste of time now, i've stopped buying them. They may think it's a brilliant economic wheeze to miniaturise their bars, but i bet i'm not the only one who's given them up due to their pathetic size. I would rather pay more for a decently sized one (vicar).

Also has anyone seen the comical Yorkie bar size now. weighs less than a Twix!

I came to complain about the fun size Mars bars too, complete and utter charlatans. The Ripples are still full size and are rarely 4 for a £ though!

yummy yummy fill my tummy

how much fun can one really have with a funsize choccy bar

That smacks of an euphemism!

Also £1 4-packs of the new Snickers & Hazelnut, nut fans.

Topic (small size like this) also same in sainsburys .. No who shrank the mars bar !!

Whatever happened to the Picnic bar? One of my favourites but so hard to find nowadays?

Love Topics, always exotically expensive when I was a nipper so have some heat!

its a rare one but its out there: dairy milk with almonds. good

Same prices at Morrisons, if that helps.

Flakes are the worst of the lot. They are now almost the size of the ones you get in a 99 ice cream cone. I have dumped all these cadbury rip offs and switched to bars from Aldi and Lidl where you can get decent chocolates for less than 50p per 100g. The only multipacks I get these days are the Galaxy 4 packs when they are on offer for quid or even less(Asda) as they have maintained their size for as long as I can remember. Having said that, if they start shrinking too then I'll be giving them the boot too.

I wrote to them calling them charlatans and got this reply just now:

Thanks for getting in touch with us here at Mars and we're sorry that you're not happy with our new size of our multipack bars.

We have recently reduced the weight of our Mars bars in our new Multipacks from 51g to 39g in response to the changing needs of our consumers' lifestyles, recognising the need for smaller portion sizes. Please be assured that you are still getting the same great value for money as the overall weight of the pack is greater than before and the recommended retail price has remained the same.

We offer a range of different pack sizes to meet the needs of our consumers. We continually review this to ensure that we meet consumer demands as they change.

Of course they do it for the cost of ingredients/inflation/profits, but lying saying the are lovely caring people concerned with my changing lifestyle is their way. I told them my mother raised me to understand that if i can't tell the truth then to keep my trap shut. I of course recommended they do the same>

I'm seriously avoiding Mars, I don't appreciate a bar out of chocolate not out of place in Lilliput.

Snickers are also reduced in size...biggest choc bars left...for now, Bounty 57g and Double Decker 54.5g

This Twix is also teeny. It's the Mars company as far as I can see, Galaxy and Cadbury far superior.

How cunningly written! The pack size went from three to four bars when the bar size reduced, so they can say that the overall amount is the same IF you ignore the fact that before the pack was 3 of the 51g bars it was 4!!!

Galaxy is the Mars Company, but generally pricier.
