Saw these in Tesco Prestwich. If I was perched on a chair I would have fell off it! Stonking price for a top quality oil. Gutted I've recently bought some oil for my next change, so couldn't justify buying more. May be nationwide?

No it's weird. Big chance that it's nationwide deal...

Wow, another hot deal, well done op, have some heat
I'm sure I don't spend any more than that putting oil in my car once every 5 odd years...why is this so hot?
This oil normally sells for around £50
Why is it such good oil?
    Well spotted
    A Bargain for sure
    Modern cars with turbo
    need this
or you have to fork out over £1000 to replace turbo

    Nice Post
    Bargain
This stuff is liquid gold, this should be a 500 degree deal.
That price is what they would should sell 1L for, I fear they will realise their mistake when the shelves get cleared by 10:05 when they open tomorrow.
This Oil is what my Merc ML takes and is £50 at the absolute cheapest. I am going to go to Tescos tomorrow and get a truckful if they have them.

    Knowing my luck they wont....

This is superb oil - fully synthetic so gives maximum protection, I've used for many years in high performance cars. Usually around £45-£50 so would seem like Tesco are clearing stocks.

    Heat added.

    Good spot thanks
You should buy. Never this cheep hot mate get there mown go
That's an insanely good price. Worth going out of your way to get. Wow, heat added.
Have to buy some, thanks OP
    Thanks
Is this good for vw golf mk5 diesel? Does anyone know thanks
You couldn't justify spending just over a tenner for this oil because you already had some?

Wow, I guess this isn't such a great deal after all.

I would take a few at that price, but I've never seen it in any Tesco stores I've been in.
No it is not for a Golf MK5 diesel because they take VW505.01. You will need Mobil 1 ESP 5W30.
did they have 5w40? Or 0w40 only
Not for cars with a DPF unfortunately, good deal though.
    Good for 2011 BMW 318d M Sport?

    Anyone confirm nationwide?

    Anyone confirm nationwide?

    ditto
    Obviously a miss price...

    Anybody got any yet ?
The best you can get, and would be essential for winter if competitors spent their money on improving theirs to this level. If your car specifies 10/40 or 5/40 this is many times better. And dont believe that rubbish about being too thin. All I have mentioned are equally as thin when hot. The 0 simply means better cold starting.
just bought a litre online about 3 minutes before seeing this X)
worth having a look at lunch time tomorrow and stock up
Just been in a mid-size store and they seem to be exclusively own brand and Castrol (ditto in the garage)
Looks like you need to go somewhere with extended range.
I'm guessing they need to shrink the motoring aisle to make space for Xmas wrapping paper & quality street etc.

Not for cars with a DPF unfortunately, good deal though.

Can you explain why this is not suitable for a DPF car please.
Ooooof. Got all excited for a moment. Here are specs from Mobil site

???? your more than welcome to your cheapo oil
Was shopping in Tesco this afternoon...no Mobil 1 oil of any sort in the local big store and no sign of any labels or empty spaces on the shelves either.

Has anyone actually bought some at this price...?
presume its no good for a 1.6 petrol ford focus 2007, meant to be spec A1/B1
but most oil seems to be spec A3/B3
