IIRC this is compatible with 'BRIO' but a fraction of the price - voted hot

Hmm I've reserved the 60 piece from Argos, £9.99

But not sure if this'll be a better set - decisions, decisions

:thumbsup:Great deal. Just been into tesco Clifton Moor York to get one for my daughter & they had plenty there.

I'm sure she will love it.

Thanks for the post.

Aren't these normally £10, so a huge saving of 21p?
To be fair though, I did quite a bit of wooden trainset research over Xmas and I reckon this is the best for the price. Not as good as the two Brio sets I got for £14 mind...

Yeah, im sure these are normally £9.99 as i've always thought that was pretty great value.

not sure if that counts as a hot deal considering the 'massive' 21p saving!

Yup, i got this a couple of years ago, its always been about a tenner. But its a good little set, especially if you're expanding and need some more track

Got one of these for the little one for Xmas. Compatible with the Thomas the Tank Engine Wooden sets as well. I think it will also work with the John Lewis sets too.

A cheap way of getting extra track but the trains & accessories are a bit basic compared to the other systems.

Tesco also have locos that are sold separately that are much nicer and battery powered so they make a noise, light up and power themselves round the track.

I briefly thought they were glasses

I think the Argos one is a better layout. It was nearly £20 I think when I was looking at Xmas.

We have this set. It has to be said that the bridge is very fiddly to setup and my children can't do it on their own, so that means mummy and daddy have to help all the time. Be warned...!

My little boy got one of these sets for Xmas. It maybe very cheap but the quality isn't great. Some have the pieces have already broken.

Still (or back up to) £10 at my local. however, the electric trains were reduced and are going for £5.83. Could not resist.

this was at £7.79 in my local Tesco today
