Good spot! Ordered.

My hubs was on 617 Squadron for years so ordered as a wee gift this Christmas. Lots of heat

Thanks just ordered one great price

Great spot, great price. Have ordered. Best I've seen elsewhere is £24.99!

Much appreciated In clubcard boost too!

My original used to look great hanging from the ceiling with three 109's chasing it.........till I got my BB gun anyway

Thanks. Just ordered !

Good price, considering paint etc included. But my personal opinion is Airfix is a bit below par in terms of quality, if you're a bit fussy. Revell seem to be superior from my experience. Less flush, better fitting, more detail, etc. Probably costs a little more on average however.

Great gift for a kid, but maybe less so for a discerning adult.

This is a newly tooled version from airfix. reading through the britmodeller web site about this kit. Most seem to think this is a far better rendition than the old airfix and revel kits in the same scale

Great price

They also do the spitfire

tesco.com/dir…823

seems cheap also. Build a squadron!

I think that's possibly true of the old Airfix, but the new toolings (like this one) are far, far better than they used to be. They're really very good now. Easily on a par with Revell if not better.

Good deal as it's £30 most places. Have some heat!

34.99 from airfix, good price

The previous poster knocking Airfix has obviously not built any of the more recently tooled Airfix kits. The new Gloster Javelin, Hawker Typhoon 1B, De Havilland Vampire, Focke Wulf Fw190, Supermarine Seafire F.XVII to name but a few are some of the best kits in their respective scales. Same with this newly tooled Lancaster.

If you want to see where Airfix are going these days just look at the 1:24 Hawker Typhoon they are set release next year!

Ordered, pity the minimum order for using Tesco clubcard vouchers is £10.

Perfect Christmas stocking filler for my dad.

and ordered as well, great price, always wanted to get into airfix, just never had the time

£2 LEGO Minifigure added to basket with this to take it up to the £10 boost mark and it cost me £5 in clubcard vouchers. Great deal, heat added! Thanks OP.

Just purchased, thanks for the great post

Can't find out out if this is the version with a part of the dam for the display stand, I think Tesco are supplying theAirfix A50138 version.

Didn't know Tesco sold these, will have a look.

From the picture it is A50138, which is the gift set version of the new tool. The one with the dam is the old tool isn't it, A50061.

I got round this issue by ordering two kits for. As you can build both standard Lancaster mk3 and upkeep version from the same kits.

Saying currently out of stock at 16.29

How recent? Last time I encountered Airfix kits was only 2-3 years ago.
The larger kits seem generally better made, as with other brands. I was referring to 72/76 scale kits only.
