A five kg bad lasts me a month so this should be very good.

I think someone should point out you cannot use this
to make bread as far as i know
would be good value if you could as it is 50% wholemeal i think

I use it to make standard loaves of bread without any trouble at all.
(as in use 100% chapati/atta flour)

This has 11.9% protein content which makes it stronger than ordinary plain flour. I can't see any reason why it would not make bread, perhaps not very crusty bread, but it should be strong enough to get a reasonable rise.

it is a great flour. i use it regularly because they sell in my local express store too. makes good chapatis and other indian style breads like paratha, puris etc. Pillsbury costs double the price and this one is equally good. had stocked up when they sold them for 2.50 for a short while. running out now so better get one!

Excellent quality and would make on excess of 200 lol

Really enjoy this flour as it has a fairly decent taste not ur usual bland flavour!

For special occassions I do 2 cups of this and 1 cup of plain white flour, makes a more supreme chappati.

50% Wholemeal?

Halfmeal?

Been using for a while now, great flour, beats elephant etc. heat added

Hot deal for the minorities

It's been this price for ages. I bought it a few weeks back when it was £3 a sack. I use it in the breadmaker, with half white bread flour

I leave it in the bag and dispense a few days worth into a jar or a tin (don't know about you but i always keep the large chocolate and cookie tins for reuse e.g. celebrations tubs) and roll the top of the bag and put a clip/peg on to prevent moisture getting it. Keeps for months without any clumping.

As an Asian, it gets used pretty quickly, wife makes chapatis every other day, then some Paratha as well.
In my house we leave it in its bag and its kept in the cool dry place, next to potatoes and other not-so-moist, you know, the vegetables which usually last long. Its right next to them.

Yes, but you will probably want to sieve it first to get the larger bits out.

This will be all Iain Duncan Smith can afford to eat if he takes up his challenge that he can live on £53 per week!

Is this whole meal? Genuine question? Is there such thing as wholemeal chapati flour?

When everything else (rent/council tax/kids school lunch/travel to hospital ect) is paid by other tax payers, its not hard to live on £53 a week!

great find my mum will be happy

Great deal but theres too much sugar added to it
