why is this cold? I'm not up on the price of tyres but this site looks great and getting x4 value for Tesco Clubcard sounds good

its cold as theres a lot of clickers who don't read description.
you can get upto £384.00 here depending on tyre price
Everyone needs tyre right????

It's just a regular Tesco 'Boost' not a 'Mega Boost'.

Putting 'mega' in the title implies that this is somehow better than the regular 4x Boosts which as far as I can see - it is not.

Also, the 'deal' is not very clear. It would seem that you Earn regular Tesco points through purchases at BC but as far as I can tell you can't redeem Tesco Points for vouchers to pay for tyres purchased from BC.

I have found tyre shopper a bit cheaper. I was looking for a set of 2 tyres 205/55/16 Dunlop Bluresponse, they allow to use codes and 2% quidco on top of that, other tyre brands could be cheaper from black circles - I don't know. Also fitting centres they use can vary, check this first. F1 centre quoted lower than black circle with tesco points - around £137 fully fitted, now I came across ebay offer (+fittinng to be arranged). Search and save!

You are absolutely right. You can collect clubcard points by buying tyres through Black Circles, which is a good thing, as they do tyres at good prices and the bonus is the points (the 4 x their value is not great, as most of the restaurants have conditions attached to the redemption). You cannot buy your tyres at Black Circles with your clubcard vouchers, so 2x, 3x or 4x their value does not apply. This could have been a deal that got some heat if it had been pitched in a different way.

As far as calling you a freak, when they don't understand the concept of the deal they have posted, is just laughable.

Still waiting for my points from black circle from last year!

Yep. This 'deal' equates to a 1% discount in it's initial form, and a 4% discount if you subsequently boost your points with Tesco Rewards.

It's a bit like saying you've saved £1 but that's worth £4 if you can find an item selling in Poundland with 75% discount on that items street price. That is basically how Blackcircle is pitching this.

On a £400 purchase of tyres, this 'deal' is worth £4. Spend those £4 wisely (through Boost) and it's worth £16. Wow. Doesn't excite me and far from 'Mega'.

On Michelin Pilot Super Sport 225/35 R19 Y (88) the tyres are £209.78 each fully fitted, £839.12 for the set - good price for Michelin. That is 839 clubcard points plus a bonus of 5,900 - other brands also do such bonus sums.

Or, if I went for the cheaper Dunlop SP Sport Maxx RT 225/35 R19 Y (88) at £179.76 each that is £179.76ea or £719.04 for the set. This offers x4 clubcard points so that is 2,876

So, using Rewards, for the Dunlops that is:

Blinkbox: £120 credit
Avios: 6900
Cafe Rouge: £115

And well over double those figures for the Michelins

You've applied the 4 multiplier twice, when you should only apply it once.

Blackcircles do NOT give you 4x Tesco Points, they give you 1x Tesco Points (so the Dunlop's purchase will be 719 points).

If you then choose to redeem your points through Tesco's 'Clubcard Boost', then you'll get;

Blinkbox: £30 credit
Avios: 1725
Cafe Rouge: £28.80 .

Having just spent £720 on tyres, the returns above are fairly modest and unexciting in my personal view.
