Really & they not gone bad?

Nope! It's how you store them. We store them in brown paper sacks in the shed - nice and cold and dry. Every few weeks, we'll go through them and remove any "dodgy" looking ones and/or any little growths. We've been doing this for years.

We still have heaps of White Potatoes left from the Christmas deals! They'll do us until Easter, when we'll stock up again.

We buy the packed grated/shredded coconut packet from one of the Asian shops. Less cumbersome and neat beside you can keep them frozen for days and still remain fresh.
I prefer Organic dessicated coconut which is very easy and keeps very well. It is £3.49 from Realfoodsource, delivery is £2.99 or free for over £50. Most of their stuff, except for their supposed red peanuts is good which are paleskin peanuts IMO.
Love coconut but not great for the diet.

Nope. Some brand names include Vadilal, Vishwas, Daily Delight imported from Kerala, India.

Quite a few on here do it - it's the sensible thing to do. We got a shedload in our local Aldi at Christmas for 10p for 2.5kgs. BARGAIN!

Not necessarily. You could buy one of those outdoor storage boxes and store them in there.

We save a fortune during the year on buying potatoes this way. Think about it - usually they're around £1.20 for 2.5kgs, but we stock up when they're 10/19/29p at Christmas and Easter. And we eat potatoes daily as our Main Meal Carbs!
