Clubcard points wherever you use your card

not strictly true as you need to spend £4 or more to get any points, and then each point is another £4.

Still a cracking deal though

In before the "If you haven't got it, don't spend it" crowd.

great! ta!

Worked for me. Cheers.

What about existing customers, does ths apply?

Excellent find

So if a £4 spend gets you 1 point (equivalent to a penny), this equates to a 0.25% cashback card.

Assumin you spend your points on a x4 Clubcard Deal, this then makes it a 1% cashcback card?.

Am I right, or have I gone completely bonkers?.

How does this work? Say I gt a credit card from lloyds and I have a balance of 2000 to pay still can I transfer to this Tesco credit card so I don't have to pay interest for 12 months?

That's how I understand it. They say you get more clubcard points for shopping at Tesco, but not sure if thats your normal clubcard points + your 1 point for every £4 spent

Yep, that's exactly how it works, and interest free on new purchases for 12months.

Your balance will be cleared on the current credit card without any fees or further interest to pay (you will still need to settle any outstanding interest payments)

I find Virgin CC is very hard to get accepted.

My wife credit rating is 970 (good) according to credit expert and she never get rejected for credit but Virgin declined her application despite not even one missing payment in her life.

Does this credit card need good super duper credit rating?

Chin up, not the first wife to fail the Virgin test.

Can I use this to pay off my overdraft ?

I applied for an 18-month interest free on purchases credit card from Tesco. My rating is rather good, but they offered a limit of £250. I declined them!

Voting warm… nice offer, but it depends on how much they're willing to lend.

Never again with tesco. The worse service I`ve ever had !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Went for the 25 months with fee given a good credit limit

Just got accepted with £2500 limit. Thanks OP - you have saved me money.

Great thanks op..:)

Nice! I actually needed more. I have about a balance of about £3500 on a Bank of Scotland credit card (balance transfer deal that is due to finish). I also have a Platinum Barclays credit card with £7000 limit and £0 balance (had it a few years) - however they wanted a 2.9% balance transfer fee. So I was able to do a balance transfer of £2350 to my new Tesco card, meaning I'll just transfer the remaining £1000 or so from the Bank of Scotland card to the Barclays card.

So in the long run, I've saved a bit of cash as I'm only paying the 2.9% to Barclays or the £1000 or so that I'm going to transfer rather than the full £3500 that I could have transferred if I didn't know about this deal!

Does anyone know if you could get this card to do a transfer from my boyfs other Tesco credit card?? I'm not sure if you can do balance transfer for somebody else thanks

did a balance transfer of £2350 from my nationwide credit card.

will pay it off anyway in a month or so when get paid from freelance work.

Can not normally balance transfer from same bank

Say my existing credit card has a limit of £2000, can I spend £3000 on it then transfer it over to this card? Hence making the amount can lend bigger?

Badum Tish!

If i only get £500 allowance limit from tesco can I do a balance transfer of £2000 from another account? Or can I only do £500 transfer?

Is it wise to be telling people how much your credit limit is on the internet?

Anyway, thought I'd try this on my current account for my overdraft, but it doesn't work, I think it has to be a credit card.

Sorry for being a noob, but will i get charged if i transfer money to my debit card? thanks.
