so you have actually ate said 'crap' to form a basis of comparison?

I've had Tesco crumpets before yes, they taste quite strange, nothing like Warburtons - the crumpet masters.

A friend once said that Tesco crumpets are like chewing on a matress, but I like them I just find they need slightly less time in the toaster than the Warburtons ones. These are dirt cheap too which is a big factor for me, but if you can afford the Warburtons ones then go for them!

How do people come up with these comparisons? Have they secretly tried to eat a mattress at some point in their life?

these have no nutritional value, if you can eat them and not put on weight, I'm envious

Whisk up some eggs, soak the crumpets in them, then shallow fry.

Om nom nom.

Ever heard of exercise? Wonderful idea for burning off excess calories from treats like this.

Have to agree bought a pack last weekend as no other brands left not the nicest as said a bit strange....having said that 55p for 2 packs is cheap....haven't voted either way though

I honestly wouldn't be suprised if they had...

I find the main problem with any supermarket crumpets are that they are about as flat as scotch pancakes.

Whereas Warbutons usually have twice the crumpet.

Crumpets are great, and at this price they're even better. Tonnes of butter for me - so much that it squelches and drips when you bite into it.:p

Warburtons - thats a lovely bit of crumpet.

8 crumpets for 55p

4 cents each???????

Sum mishtake shurely

You BOGOF!!!

Agree these aren't very nice.

Warburtons are the best, but the better cheaper alternative I have found is the Aldi Village bakery ones - 39p a pack

CO OP are doing two packs of warburtons crumpets for £1.00

I like the Kingsmill ones, hate Warburtons crumpets. I bought these yesterday, how is their taste compared to Kingsmill?
