Why would they even offer this to someone who is against fryers in general clearly? You know besides the fact that this would never be offered for free anyways.

Dunno where you've been for a while but some places do and have fried mars bars for a while now. It was first started back in 1995 quite common/popular in scotland.

If you consider that the current boom in the old age population are the very people that grew up eating every other meal in food cooked or spread in lard, bread dripping, thick bacon rinds and all the other stuff that is supposedly bad for your health. I am pretty certain that the so called health guru's of today do not really know what they are on about. Rant over...........

Why do folks continually post comments on threads that clearly they have no interest in ?

Whilst I don't eat deep fried food everyday day or even every week, in moderation theres nothing wrong with the odd home made chip now and then.
As argoj has pointed out, the older generation have gotten along just dandy eating a lot more crap than we do these days.

Have some heat.

Pensioners still buy lard - along with kidneys, suet puddings, tins of stewed beef and other assorted disgusting stuff

yes i know.... it doesnt make it right though does it

op, have some heat. I'm buying one of these to pad my bin out

Heat from me op, been looking for a cheap one for cooking onion bhaji's.

We have the last generation of pensioner who mainly did manual labour all their working lives.

The occasional deep fried food will not kill you. Work behind a desk + fast food + regular boozing + sugar snacks every day is the big problem.

ordered for collect in store. thanks op!

Ooooooooh deef fat fryer!

This should be X rated and the box should carry a health warning..... or not.

The oil would cost more than some healthy oven chips though surely. Saying that they are handy for making fresh spring rolls and other ChineseThai food.

Not really eat too much of anything and most the time it can be bad for you. Sticking a health warning on this would be like saying mcdonalds causes obesity when really it's the consumer/customer that caused that on their self. Maybe a more appropriate warning would be eat responsibly? lol Sort of like they do for alcohol but for food.

youre actually spot on, lard and bacon fat are far far far better for your body than refined carbohydrates (even worse when geneticaly modified) people have been brainwashed this generation, they think cereal bars are good for them cos an advert told them.
