Instore only - or if it's online I cannot spot it. The currys are of the range in the picture and include korma, tikka masala etc... Normally £3.50 each - sides include bhajis samosas rice etc and cost £1 - £2.50 each...

Absolute stonking deal Imo - here's receipt proof for the naysayers

Their Chicken Tikka Masala scores very well in blind tests. Either you don't like Tesco the brand or you don't like supermarket curry full stop.

The only one that I think is close to a takeaway is Waitrose curries. Tesco may have been rated high in a blind taste test but I doubt they actually saw how little meat there is and how much sauce there is. So to answer your question, I have no problem wit the Tesco brand and as I have said above, I like some supermarket curries so before you assume and end it with full stop. Here is my opinion from me and not your assumption of my opinion. Thanks.

Where did you say that?

You obviously didnt read the first 14 words of my post ? "The only one that I think is close to a takeaway is Waitrose curries"
Marks and spencer 2 mains and 2 sides for £10. The mains serve 2 so you actually get 2 x 2. Same price better taste/quality imo.

(One side will also do 2 people)

I'd descibe that as 'damning with faint praise'. And are you saying all takeaways are superior to even Waitrose curry? - I think takeaways are far more variable that supermarket curries. I have to say that your choice of Waitrose as your 'close to' curry adds weight to my suspicion that you are influenced by brands. As this is HUKD I suggest that the cost is also part of the equation and I think Waitrose are unlikely to score on that measure.

Back to where we came in: you said of Tesco curries "not one is edible in my opinion" which is the kind of sweeping, generalised statement which I have challenged. You did say "each to their own though" .

Currys taste ok, not amazing but ok, but at this price, it’s a hot deal
I just wish they would bring back their pizza dine in deal, that’s was the best one.

Are they any veggie curries in the deal?

Ha ha, yes that's true. Fortunately they're just 'reporting' the results from a TV programme.

They are edible I grant you pretty low on the scale of edible. but people could easily make something much nicer from scratch for less. Now I think about it people who buy these make not even know how to cook so maybe not.
I don't mind these curries (sometimes just can't be bothered to cook) but I only buy them when this deal is on. There is a lot more curry than meat but can't complain at £5.

My favourite curry (ready meal) is the Keralan chicken from Waitrose. Ready made sauce wise, the goan curry made by holy cow is great.

Scratch curry. Now there's a product for a niche market.

:/
Tesco stopped selling the one i liked, lamb rogan josh from the freezer dept . What is wrong with the idiots running Tesco ?
I'm not sure where all the negativity is coming from - but when I finish work at Half 5, have nothing really in at home that I can muster a meal that I'd like out of, and live next door to a Tesco - This deal becomes much more appetizing in a hurry.

Heat.
