My local has half an aisle full of them. Been waiting on them coming down further. Thanks for the heads up.
I was in Tesco Silverburn a few hours ago and smaller eggs were still priced at 75p in there reduced from £1. Larger eggs half price. There were bloody loads in there too. I was wondering when they would get the finger out and reduce them.

I'll be lucky to find it lol
Can't believe it's take so long! There's tons left in my local, Brislington
our local tesco-ses have none left, unless they have hidden stock in the warehouse

Two more pallets of them at the end of that aisle too! I'm guessing they ever-so-slightly missed their sales targets this year!

I could not believe the amount they still had in there, it was as if the stock was delivered weeks late and put out now for easter.
cheers for the heads up. Good first deal.

Waitrose were doing 75% within days of Easter. Surprised it took Tesco so long.
Its mainly Cadburys Easter eggs as they took a hit this Easter due to the recipe change (from a Tesco employee)

Or because they are the most popular and just ordered too many. I'm not aware there was a recipe change this year.
All the Mini Eggs have disappeared from stores
Asda did theirs last week. 25p Creme Egg and large egg.

I seen them in Silverburn the other day, they had even more than the St Rollox store which I didn’t think was possible
They were the same with their Christmas confectionary this year too. I guess if they aren’t in a rush/in need of the space they don’t have to clear them quick? The likes of Asda needed the space in their seasonal aisle for their baby event to start. Im guessing once the eggs are gone they will start filling up the shelves with BBQ’s and Lawn Mowers etc.
Tesco are a really tight company, other stores cleared out weeks ago,
Maybe if these manufacturers made something that consumers actually want, other than a basic chocolate egg with a couple of off-the-shelf chocolate bars thrown in, people would be more inclined to buy.
This is OK but most these reductions aren't any better than the promotions they run in the lead up to easter I.e 3 for £10 or two large for £8 etc.

Tight? Or just doing what their shareholders expect them to do - ie maximise profits?

75% off is miles better than those offers

I know 75% is better, as I said this deal is OK. I'm talking about the current reductions where by they reduce the single prices of eggs by a few quid but they are the same as the offers before easter. So not actually a reduction but we're "fooled" into thinking a large egg reduced to £4 from £6 is a deal where it could be bought 2 for £8 before.

Maybe it's a sign of the current economic conditions but current easter discounts are woeful. It's about 3 weeks after Easter and big store are still trying to flogs Cadburys Eggs for £2 or more. I mean you can get the normal chocolate bars for less than that and you get more per kg anyway. I don't understand why supermarkets feel they can shift them at that price. Let's not even talk about Lindor which are still very expensive but maybe they don't want them being sold that cheap as it cheapens the brand.

I will have a look tomorrow but won't buy unless they are MASSIVE reductions. By that I mean I expect to pay 75p for a LARGE Mars egg.
