Does anyone have 1 of these? Can anyone report how good/bad these are?

The reviews on the tesco site seem pretty good. Am tempted by it.

Reviews look very hood.
Voted hot - great spot OP.

Do I need one? - No.
Do I want one? - Yes.

When will I use it ? - No idea - must look at my trees and decide which ones need pruning/cutting to justify purchase !

In need of a chainsaw as I have a small tree in my garden that needs to come down before it gets bigger, so I've ordered one.
Very warm.

Don't forget the chain oil - chainsaws get through a fair bit of it. You can use engine oil at a pinch, but it gets through that even faster. You will want a sharpening kit, too. Chainsaws need sharpening little (just three file-strokes per tooth is what I was taught) and often, or they turn into wood-burners..

Good find and well timed to have a go at the Leylandii. Heat added my friend.

Well ordered that and the helmet and a couple of other bits to take advantage of the £10 off £50 for "new" customers lol

When I click 'Go to deal' I get some tradedoubler site and a blank page - anyone know why?

So did I but I opened it in a new windows and it opens OK.

Great deal. The last one I bought cost me over £100 and it was only 1800W.

Heat from me

Would have been more useful a month ago with the zombie break out, but heat anyway.

Hot... Some decent deals on power tools at Tesco at the minute,
Here's another one hotukdeals.com/dea…765

Essential for an apocalypse.

Don't forget to use your rcd breaker and take a long extension lead.

Anyone tried these on body parts ?

Will these work on animal bones? What about human bones?

Recommended - These are cutting edge technology

They cut limbs well, can recommend one!

Tesco Chainsaw (price) Massacre

thx ordered

i have one of these and they are bloody great, it uses a lot of oil, which comes with it, i done 5 really big fern tress and it took me less then an hour,

Great price. The only thing to bear in mind with these is that for some stupid reason the chain tension adjuster is a flat headed screw at the base of the bar. This gets gunked up with sawdust and oil in no time and it becomes a real pain to properly tension the bar.

On the very rare occasion when I want to cut a chain, I generally use a hacksaw, and it doesn't really take that long, so I'm not sure why I need an electric chain saw? Do people really cut chains that often?

:-D

Surely you would a hacksaw to cut a journalist.......

I can see A&E departments being busy up and down the country

Good deal. Just bought one to collect.

Hope it's not too heavy for my missus to use ;-)

Don't buy one. You'll never get away with it. Too much dna splatter.

Gonna get one for the mother in law!

Not sure this is all it seems, 20% off £69 is not £27.97, but 20% off £34.96 is, this I think maybe the correct price, it shows this price if you click through to order.......................mmmmmmm

Voted cold. Corded. No good for 'going postal', unless your victim is
a) within 10 metres, or
b) willing to stand still whilst you find another socket

I just wanted a basic hedge trimmer but this 12 quid one is OOS tesco.com/dir…el=

then why bother posting if OOS ??????

Damn! I have just bought this Clas Ohlson one for £47.99 in their receint 20% sale
clasohlson.com/uk/…000 though it does have a 2 year warranty.

this Tesco one would have done me fine for all the use I'll be putting it to...

Great spot!

Actually, now showing as OOS.

They've definitely made a booboo on this one if it's supposed to be 20% off, because it's 40% off! oO

Good deal but no stock

Really p1ssed off I ordered one of these yesterday at £39.98, so I've written to Tesco asking them to price match themselves. Some chance.

Got email confirmation of pick-up, but £69.92 less 40% = £27.97, with £41.95 to pay, so this is back to front, the £27 is the discount and £41 is to pay not as listed, but........the order says £34.96 less 20% = £27.97....................................confused.......

OOS

I got one of these a couple of weeks ago - seems good build quality and works well, did not come with oil though like some one else said? So bought some and it does seem to use it fast, but that may be because it was new.

Chain seems to loosen quite quickly so beware of that, but not having owned one before I have nothing to compare against but was overall pleased with it.
