Just been in my local Tesco and they have their own brand light bulbs (supplied by Eon or NPower) at £1 each, or 5 for £1, mix and match power/fittings, got some bayonet and screw bulbs fine

5 for 49pence at focus

Never heard of Focus.

Why bother.

For no apparent reason, they turn up on the post.

So far this year we have had 2 lots of 5 delivered.

Well I had some lights go out, and it was a screw bulb and they only sent bayonet in the post... and I didn't have one spare

And my closes Focus is 30+ miles away, the cost of fuel alone makes it less value

I think Argos has 10 for £1 at the mo, screw and bayonet (14w)

I've been seeing Philips-branded CFLs in 5-for-50p or 10-for-£1 deals in Robert Dyas, Lidl and all over. Unless the quality is something really special, £1 per bulb is OTT these days.

Also 10 for £1 in Poundland (11w 'equivalent' to 60w) bayonet AND screw in types.
