Tesco Everyday Value Dishwasher Tablets 30 for 83p @ Tesco (2.76p a tablet)

Normally £1.60. Same % active ingredients as Finish Classic ie >30% oxygen based bleaching agents etc etc. Used before and they're fine but I always add salt and rinse aid seperately anyway especially as I live in London with very hard water.

This was taken this morning at Tesoc Finchley Central.

No I had a check. For some people they might be 80p as the the price in London is £1.65 so they're half price but online they're £1.60.
I spy RTC on the bottom of the yellow label so it'll be store specific.

Interesting. Is that the best way to identify that a deal is store specific? Any idea what RTC stands for?

FWIW, have added some heat anyway - even at full price this is reasonably cheap!

Probably

Not convinced. I saw some of my cleanser in Tesco with the price cut label and RTC and assumed it was a permanent price cut as there was no offer dates of anything. Price was back up to normal a week later. Secondly Tesco's own brand dishwasher tablets, can't see them discontinuing them and these are in the new packaging. It's a biggish store as well so plenty of room to stock them. Who knows - but you do know though what Tesco's are like.

Great price just purchased them last week at full price and they work fine, no problems will have to check if my local store to see if I can get at that price, thanks !! heat added

Can anyone else vouch for if these are any good, I've thought about trying them before but usually use whichever premium brand is on offer.

They're fine. Just as good as finish classic imo.
Any sighted in your stores at this price? If so, tell us!
These are going to be tesco value, as in blue red and white value, so they are going to be crap lets be fair! 80p or not, its a waste of money.
My dad gets these, they do the job same as any other tabs. I'll tell him, ta
Scored 64% in latest Which? test. Fairy came top at 78%, then Finish Powerball Classic 77% and then Aldi Magnum at 76%.
Does she take these orally and how often?

Thanks for the info, that's very useful to know. Even though they only scored 64% I might still try them as they're such a silly price. I usually prefer Fairy as it happens, as I find that they fit in my detergent drawer better, but that's just personal preference.

They're fine, even with burnt on stuff as long as I ran the dishwasher at a higher temp which I need to do with Fairy anyway.

Totally agree fairy are the best. I tried the aldi one's and I thought they were the same as Tesco, even looked the same.

I did look at the energy consumption of my different cycles and the eco cycle was the most expensive. Zanussi.

40d 2.9p
50d 3.77p which is what I usually use
55d eco wash 25.9p
65d 19.7p
70d 25.7p

My user guide had the energy consumtion per cycle and I worked out my average rate based on usage (first 225 units are more expensive) this came out about 16.8p a unit. Userguide gave me length of cycle and kwh that cycle uses per hour. 25p v 4p, so glad I'd been using the 4p cycle. I also have one of the diddy machines.
They are as good as anything else...get over it, brand snobs

Well some people agree because at least 2 people have voted it cold in the last few mins. (_;)

If you look at the active ingredients they're the same as Finish classic. I was looking at washing powder and Tesco's own brand (not EDV) had the same %s as Persil and Ariel, however 99p store has less so I'd avoid those especially being in a hard water area where the more zoolite the better.

Nonsense.

It's not nonsense, but I will say I don't think Fairy are the best anymore even, they used to be.

Now I am using Finish with the red ball in them, much better in my machine than the others.
Would it matter if you don't use your dishwasher every day would they still work. I only put mine on once a week.
I have used them before, but have a stockpile of tablet bargains, or I would be buying these again. Which? have previously rated them highly too. Why pay £6 for a branded box if these do the same job.
A little tip for everybody, cut your tablet in half and you'll be very surprised at the results.

The prices are silly now, like Finish and Fairy expenct you to pay 30p+ a wash for a quantum or plaTINUm tablet. When you add electrcity to it it's expensive. Also Fairy keep on changing their pack size which is sneaky. Like you I've stocked up when they're cheap.
I've been using them as well as other brands (mainly Finish) and can't see any difference. Hot for me!
Hope some in my new one on Monday, I'll try these then!

Have some heat op.
We tried these and they were AWFUL!! Binned the rest. Shame as good price!

Agree - once they're clean they can't get cleaner because there's a fancy name on the box!

However, some people do seem to expect their dishwasher to do the impossible. Rinse things off if they're very messy and soak baked on dirt first.
Use these usually, good product that works well.
Used to use Finish and Fairy, but switched to these or the Smart Price or Sainsbury's basic ones and does the job but cheaper.
This should be nationwide, I've seen them in 2 stores in Penarth and Cardiff

Didn't pick any up tho as I got plenty of Finish in the glitch

THanks for confirming.
I use the Morrison's own brand and they clean fine but I always scrape and rinse excess off, probably why I've only had to clear out the drain catch device once in 3 years
Not nationwide. Aylesbury store did not have this offer price.
nice price
