All you hayfever and allergy sufferers, me included- Stock up for Spring

Bought these 5th March late at my local Tesco Express and they were marked at £3.98
my till receipt read 99p so I will be going back to stock up ASAP. Not sure if this is the same in regular Tesco.

This is my first post so be as rude as you like about it!

Oh yes and there seems plenty of scope for bad jokes on this so don't hold back

same thing as benedryl however about 500% cheaper, i used these guys a few times with no probs, £7 for 400 caps is way better than £1 for 12

they also do large boxes of benedryl ( 124 tabs for £10)

Not the same thing at all.

The Benadryl in the OP are Acrivastine. The ones you have linked to aren't even SOLD in the UK by Benadryl.

These Diphenhydramine HCL 'Benadryl' cause drowsiness - Diphenhydramine HCL is used as a SLEEPING TABLET and is sold in the UK as NYTOL!!! It is a VERY OLD (first generation) antihistamine and rarely used as one in the UK.

PLEASE DO NOT buy the ones in the link above.

Brum - that's a tissue of lies.

Diphenhydramine C17H21NO is not the same thing as Acrivastine C22H24N2O2.

This deal is not to be sneezed at!

Thanks withabix I couldn't have put it better myself

Can anyone confirm this is elsewhere, I don't want to look stupid at the counter. We used to have those scanners around the store where you could check the price but I imagine the little blites pushed the screens in.

The big supermarkets do now do their own versions of big hayfever pills though. You can buy cetirizene hydrochloride for £3.89 for 7 under a big brand name, or you can buy tescos own for something like 69p for 7. It's worth reading the small print on the packets and then comparing.

I have searched the web for a generic Acrivastine and as far as I know there is no supermarket own brand, This drug is much newer (and much better in my opinion) than cetirizene and loratadine that is used in own-brand alternatives and in any case at 99p it's still cheaper.

I bought a few more packs this morning (Tesco express)
