Did you go out intentionally looking for an axe?

Haha no, didn't even buy one, had to resist the urge of buying one just beacuse it was cheap. I'd have gotten home thinking what the HELL am I going to do with this axe now.

EDIT: Damn it forgot about the zombies!

Just for the portmanteau, Fibreglaxe, I'm in.:)

I got one a few weeks ago for £2 ... fuming now

BTW it does need to be sharpened, otherwise it won't go through wood let alone anything else.

Not so good for the chickens though

There is a Rubber Mallet available too. I think it is £1.25. Looks good but a bit smelly in the back of the van!

Nice chopper

Nice chopper

Oh you sweet talker

Managed to break 2 axes last summer, one wood one plastic, both times the head snapped off on a hard swing and bounced off the wood I was chopping, creating one of those "well that could have been dangerous" moments where you realise if it has bounced off toward your body you would be in serious pain. Admittedly the wood I was chopping was too big for the axe.

Just remember that small axes like this dont chop big pieces of wood, better for splitting kindling. Wouldn't want a HUKDeath on our hands

Its probably what'll be falling on the chief executive's neck based on the lastest profit warning.

I wouldn't have thought that an axe was the best way to cut fibreglass X)

Although Tesco call it an axe. I would call it a hatchet as it is single handed

Bit short for zombies.
Ok as a back up if you loose the crowbar.

Voted cold. When the zombies attack you'll be much better off with a good lawn edger. Buy one now - before it's too late...

is it nationwide? Not the zombies the axe I mean!

I can't find it on tesco.com

is it nationwide?

No, it's Tesco. Your thinking of the Building Society.

He's going to withdraw all his money out of the Nationwide and buy up all the axe's from Tesco ....Then put them on fleabay at £1.10 on a free weekend insertion and then make a HUGE Killing on them ...then put all his money +profits back into the Nationwide and just sit back and wait for that big interest to Kick in........Axecpt it its the only way.......;)

I feel like such a fool buying this for £2.10 last week....the price had been repeatedly slashed from around £6.
I'm not sure what i'm going to do with it yet, so its currently under my bed. For emergencies. And maybe fancy dress. HOT.

That's a chopping deal!

More cutting news 300 jobs chopped at AX-Minster

What are you people waiting for?

GO!
GET TO THE CHOPPPPPAAAAA!!!!

Let the chav cull begin

I'm quite partial to the occasional axe wound.

For when the zombies attack, this would certainly make a good addition to the arsenal.

Sounds like you were using a felling axe to chop the wood; you need to be using a log splitting maul. Felling axes are only for felling trees, log splitting mauls are for...... (well, you understand.)

Getting one of these to put on my bike.
Tired of the dogs attacking me and the car drivers not seeing me.

Considering that eBay and PayPal take about 20% at the end after the fees, he might just turn the axe on himself when he realises how much of a loss he's made at £1.10...

Might get one of these to grind.

Could make a good burglar deterrant too. I know a lot of people buy baseball bats etc in case some fool decides to break into their house during the night but for just over a quid this would be handy to keep under the bed just in case it ever happened. X)

If he puts them on Fleabay as a "Chopper" he'll make an even HUGHER killing as all the girls queue up to buy them!

tooo many cheap deals!! I cant hack it...
