Tesco Finest American Double IPA (Brewdog) 9.2% (330ml bottles) 4 for £6 @ Tesco

Made by Brewdog and is basically a rebadged version of their Hardcore IPA. This hasn't been included in any of Tesco's recent multi-buy alcohol deals and - at 9.2% strong - is definitely worthwhile at 4 for £6. Recommended for anyone who likes Brewdog's Punk IPA.

this stuff is proper hangover juice. be warned! lovely though!

Think I'll give this a shot.

I'll give it a bash. Got to better than p!ss water Carlsberg at 3.8%.

The duty on this is very high so they will be making barely any (if any at all) money on this one! Good deal if you fancy trying stuff out.

It's the prohibitive shipping cost, this weighs too much because of the high level of alcohol.

This beer is incredible. One of my favourite ever beers. If you like really hoppy craft beer you must buy this. 4 bottles would have you pretty merry!

Probably.

Not normally a fan of US beers (their lagers are tasteless, and don't get me started on their ales!). However some of their micro-breweries have been getting better and better so interested to give this a go! Seems like a deal so gets some heat from me!

Tried to like Brewdog, really have, but their IPA has the aftertaste of battery acid mixed with Corsodyl oO

Even when trying their taster boards, not found a decent drink to enjoy - bleugghh

Deal though for those who like super-formulated tramp-juice X)

I've just ordered online?

Brewdog is a Scottish brewery.

This is fantastic gear, very nice considering the high abv.

Punk IPA is 5.6% surely will not taste the same. I love some of the american ipa's but soon as it goes over 6% it tastes to strong to enjoy

like thats its 9.2 % but 300ml bottle for 1.50 is bit steep... you can get some nice 500ml bottles for that.

When it's branded brewdog Hardcore IPA it's about 4 quid a bottle so 1.50 is very cheap. It costs more to brew a beer like this because of the number of hops used and the dry hopping.

If it tastes nice, % is irrelevant. This stuff however is dog,. Very appropriately named. Nice taste initially... Aftertaste is rank.

I bought a couple of these last Christmas when they were on offer before. One remains untouched. Truly terrible taste, travesty to call it IPA. If I want a slug of 9.2%, I'll water down a £5 bottle of Rioja thank you very much.

Seriously lovely beer, although after three your two sheets to the wind. Must get some.

Posh tramp juice

I don't know if this is the same as offered as their 9 percent american IPA from 2 years ago, as I think the percentage has changed and I don't recall it being marked as 'from brewdog', but if it is this is a steal, and used to be my favourite in their 3 for 5 deal that they did.
I tell you what, I'll have to go and get 16 or so and check :-)

I bought a lot of this when it was 4 for £5. Good stuff but I've gone for the 1845. Better value for money, bottle conditioned and a classy beer.

Thanks op, I'll have a couple tonight!

It would be great if the people who want to be snobbish about craft beer could let other people like what they don't.

I love craft beer and finally have some beer I like the taste of and can get me hammered on!

Personally, I think the beers (or often, actually lagers) you traditionally get on tap are gassy, flavourless p*sswater, all tasting the same that many men only drink because all the other blokes before them drank it and "Well, it's beer innit?" but I don't post that every time Fosters or Carling comes up in a deal.

DRINK AND LET DRINK. CHEERS!

Leave this to those who have grown a beard in the past 2 years to be trendy. Utter pisswater.

Would like the Carling fans not to comment in this thread please, this beer is legendary!

This is Hardcore IPA brewed with some malt extract along with the usual ingredients. The only way they can put it in at this price point.

Tremendous value for money full price, at this its a damn steal. Not the best craft beer in the world but at a fraction of the cost of the usual offerings you would be a fool not to stock up. At that ABV too it's not going out of date though the hop profile will mellow as time passes.

Cracking beer, one of the best ways to spend 2 quid when it's at full price. Absolute steal at this price. For those in Scotland, as we don't get these multi-buy deals, it's £1.65 a bottle. Just wish I had a tesco a bit closer to home!

I bought seven bottles at Tesco Silverburn last night... I was a gentleman and left four on the shelf.
