Tesco Finest Aromatic Gin 43% 70cl £12.00 Instore

Just noticed this has gone down in price (was £16 or £17 if I'm right) in my local Tesco, but I can't even find this gin on the Tesco website... Hmm.

Never tried it but it seems to match Tanqueray in terms of strength and as it carries the *finest* moniker it surely must be good ;-) ;-)

Anyway, £12 for 70cl of 43% gin seems a decent buy to me. If anyone sees this in other stores be sure to leave a comment, just to confirm it's national!

Not the right one, but it will do for now until I take a photo of the label! Cheers :-)

That's great, this is the only one they have listed on their grocery site for aromatic gin

Is it too early in the day to knock up a wee G&T? I've finished work so why not... ;-) Will try and post a verdict on this gin as I've never tried it.

It could well be the same one with a different label. I've only noticed this one in the last couple of weeks so it could well be that!

Correct image up now, simply scans as 'Gin' on receipt.

Just rustled a mini-G&T up. Would definitely buy again at this price, certainly more potent than my usual Aldi brand stuff, no odd tastes and I'd have another if it wasn't so early ;-)

Good stuff, hope you like it

£12.60 in my Tesco local. No sign it was on offer. Online i think it's usually £17.

It's loevely, made by Greenall's I believe.

I bought a couple of bottles today in the store in Mexborough, still quite a few bottles left on the shelf

My local was cleared out by the end of the day I'd posted this... I would've stocked up otherwise as it's turned out to be quite a nice gin!

How does this gin compare to the normal brands? For those who have tried it can they rate it to other better know gins. Wanting to stock up for Christmas,

Just seen your post, if it is by Greenall's it should be OK, bought their own label from Sainbury's when it was on offer (£17 for litre bottle) and can say it was pretty good.

Bought a bottle of this earlier. It tastes very strong and not nearly as flavourful as something like Bombay Sapphire or Tanquary. It has a kick similar to most vodka. I wouldn't buy it again (certainly not full price) but it gives some variety and will be used as my cabinets "guest gin", available for a short time only.

Funny, I found it quite flavourful, it's been a wee while since I've had Tanqueray but I found that more 'spirity' (the bog standard export strength type, not the other more expensive varieties). It has certainly got a kick and with Fever Tree tonic it makes quite a refreshing drink. But we have different taste buds so buy a tester bottle if you're not sure, certain it won't go to waste... ;-)

One bottle turned up on the shelves in my store... I don't really need another bottle but I'm tempted to making raspberry and/or blueberry gin... Seems pretty straightforward to do, just got to wait a while until it matures!

Sloes? Loads round here. Wait until the first hard frosts before picking. Gives a better flavour.

Have just bought a reduced to £10 and some pennies bottle from a Tesco near Havant. If it's good might have to get another bottle.

Great price, I liked it but each to their own. I wouldn't mind another bottle but my stores are all out!
