666 for christmas cake. someone at tesco is having a mess around

Sponge too light colored and no alcohol means its not a christmas cake

It does contain alcohol, although not very much. Brandy 1.5% and Cognac 1%. I tried to add link in but it goes to a different page.

why to eat Christmas cake in October?

why to eat Christmas cake in October?

Some people eat cereal for dinner!
People eat Easter eggs before Easter Monday (or Good Friday).

The expiry date is likely to be after January so people may buy in advance.

16 people, or one Ben Goldacre

I like cake so much I can have this every month, not just Oct & Dec

Mmmm, might pick up one to see what it's like, not really worried about expiry date as I eat most cakes and bits like that well after the date any way.

Same here, I find if kept in the fridge it lasts much longer - before & after opening.

£6.66? You sure its not devils food cake?

I've done that with un-iced ( and home made) Xmas cakes in the past :). Purely to help the maturing process, of course!

6,6,6 the number of the feast

Christmas is all about greed, gluttony, materialism and debt enslavement... sod it, let's just put 666 on a cake with a pyramid on top, in October, and these idiots still won't rumble us. Bow before your corporate Gods. Queue evil laughter. X)

Tesco no longer sell this item, they told me it has been withdrawn and that is why when later updating or viewing your basket with it in, that message appears.
