yeah was a rather weird one, In the normal area where they keep these, the price was as normal, £5-£7 a pack. But at the end where you usual find all the half price deals they had a small shelf with them.

Dundee Kingsway that is anyways

its half price online too but £6 delivery at the weekend - still might stock up on 10-20kg though.

then again, they'll probably just send the rest of my order and not the chicken (and cant really be substituted either

Really really good price this.

Picked up a few last night. Works out a tad cheaper than the value packs.

great chicken at a great price

Great stuff, most of the time I buy cheaper cuts of better chicken as and where I can legs and thigh packs are great value if you have a bit of time.

These are very nice, hot!!

So much better than all the other types of supermarket chicken...

I'll be visiting my local tescos after work.hot!

So true, tastes so much sweeter and cooks better.

The only problem with this deal is, once you tried this chicken, going back to the cheap stuff is like punching yourself in the teeth! X)

Whenever I see a breast, I do like to fillet.

A clucking good deal

cant beat value chicken IMO
+value pasta
+value curry sauce

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Very high in fat for chicken breast, which is usually a lean option, because of being corn-fed. Still a great deal price-wise, but compare the nutritional information to the regular Finest chicken breast they sell and I think you'll be unpleasantly surprised!

It's high in fat because they've still got skin on them, remove the skin and bingo... you have near fat free meat!

great price op... must stock up if any left.

It means they will be full of omega 3's which is good. Fat isn't bad, at all. Its copious amounts of trans fatty acids, refined carbs and the like which is bad. Increasing saturated fat intake actually lowers saturated fat levels in the blood whilst increasing carb intake actually increases saturated fat in the blood...

The governments angle on fat is uttely flawed - the 1948 study on which their guidlines are based made their findings whilst ignoring that most countries with high levels of fat in their diet are thin (see Japanese, French, those of colder climates etc).

Thats also becuase normal chicken breast is pumped full of water and substitutes to make it larger in size but your not getting that in chicken or nutrition. I would never buy normal supermarket chicken its foul, excuse the pun

Just realised I got the Tesco Finest skinless breasts, which are half price at my local £14 odd kg down to £7 odd. Had some last night and tbh chicken is chicken to me.

Along with the 8 glasses of water a day notion that is equally wrong. It's amazing how one piece of misinformation can end up becoming its own living thing.

Wonder what the Farmer gets paid for these?

Was in asda picking up some of those fajita kit things before hand, Find it hard to pick up chicken lower priced in asda, even the value stuff, sure it was £6 for a pack of 4 breasts, think id rather go for these ones instead.

No idea, If less than price selling for now, profit margin would be rather large on it at normal price.

HOT! Stocked up!

Hot from me. Even at full price I think these are the cheapest free range chicken breasts (per kilo) in any of the supermarkets - at least that I've found.

Just got 6 huge breasts for a tad over £8. Very happy. Thanks OP

Hadn't read this before going this arvo and spotted deal myself so there's a couple in the fridge for me this weekend - hot

thanks for posting this, we had some delivered yesterday but they hadn't applied the offer so I've just had them refund half

Just popped into my local Tesco on the off chance that they had some left, they did so stocked up.

Opened up the packs to separate the chickens before putting them in the freezer and they are really large breast portions. Can't go wrong for about £1.60 for a free range breast.

Don't they to DTD on online shops?

Not sure. The person I spoke to didn't suggest it and I didn't think to ask until afterwards.

Got 4 packs today, all around £2.75 for 2 breasts. I actually went for the smaller ones, most packs were over 500g!

As I said, compare it to COMPARABLE chicken, i.e. the other Finest chicken - also with skin-on - and it is much higher in fat. I don't eat crap chicken pumped full of water or other preservatives and I do not believe that fat is inherently bad for you. But you can definitely eat healthier chicken than this. Look at America, where so much of the food is full of corn derivatives. Corn feeding is an easy way of fattening up chickens quickly, so you are paying for less protein and more fat.

But it tastes nice I thought that was the point.
