It was just in the isle with all the other soups - has a long best before date too - Nov 2011 - so stock up!

Deff not in my tesco - gutted! Which store was this in?

my better half picked up a few packs from Dorridge Tesco metro, and can confirm they're tasty. expiry date is in 2011 too...

Think of the money you'll be saving, though!

Why are people so against something that makes it last longer? Clearly it doesn't do any major harm, otherwise it wouldn't be allowed in the soup in the first place.

What absolute nonsense. Organic is not viable for the worlds population - get over it.

Wow those ingredients together sound terrible... Head added for the price though.

Yeah all those chemicals...like water...salt....sugar....
god it's a miracle some people can bear to breathe air when it is so full of that dreadful chemical oxygen.

Unless you insist on buying all the ingredients to make your own soup, then try to buy your ingredients for 1p. Even iniitally growing your own will cost alot more than 1p, not to mention time occupied. Haawwwt

Chilled soup or tinned? Great price whatever the type!

1p? Even I wouldn't hesitate to pickup 10. Judging by the response to most deals I wouldn't be surprised to hear a selfish ass would empty a shelf of 100+.

To be honest with this kind of deal - you have to get in there quick before the price changes. So it would make little sense 'being nice' on this occasion anyway.

not in my area

love the 1p bargains if you can get them, hot from me!

LOL name me a PROCESSED food product that doesn't contain any chemicals in it?

Well why not? First come, first served. So long as they actually use them then they are not depriving anyone else unfairly.

I know. And all for 1p!

I hope if anyone spots this and doesnt plan on using them, pick em up anyway and donate them to somewhere useful.

What "chemicals" ?
This is a pasturised and sealed product that will stay fresh almost indefinatly so long as it's kept in a cool dry location and the packaging isn't compromised to let bacteria in.
I do love some of the nonsence that gets talked about "chemicals" and "E numbers" by people who generally have no idea which speciffic "chemicals" or "E numbers" they are actually talking about or what (if any) proper research exists to support their assertions that these products are in some way bad.
We live in a litigious society and if you think that anyone in a major supermarket suply chain is going to knowingly introduce poisons into their product range, you are living in a deluded and paranoid fantasy world.

Rant over.

Top price for the soup though

i work for tesco
do i still get 10% off

I must say it is hard to believe the words "finest soup" and "a penny" could go together.

cold - local deal - nice for you tho if you like soup
