Found 3rd Feb 2014
These savings are automatically applied to your clubcard account-
2 p off per £ 50 spend and you can accumulate your shopping for upto 20 p off (£ 500 spend)

While scrolling my clubcard account, I came across this new section which I never noticed before. However this scheme is available only in certain stores in Wales
Tesco Fuel Save is a great new scheme from Tesco that allows you to get money off fuel, just by doing your shopping and scanning your Clubcard.

How does it work?Spend £20 on your weekly shop. Scan your Clubcard. Earn 1p per litre discount on fuel.
For every £50 you spend at Tesco, you’ll earn 2p off a litre of fuel when you fill up at a Tesco petrol filling station. Build up your savings over a number of shops, and you'll get an even bigger saving on your fuel
So how does it accumulate?
Every shop counts, even the smallest ones. Anything from a pint of milk to a weekly shop can save you money on fuel. So if you spend £100, you’d get 4p a litre off, if you spend £150, you’d get 6p a litre off and so on. As long as you scan your Clubcard, each shop adds up to save you money on fuel. Your savings can also be combined over a number of shops so you can get an even bigger discount on your fuel – as much as 20p off a litre.
How is it different from other fuel offers?
Tesco Fuel Save isn't a one off offer; it's an ongoing scheme. Every shop you do can earn you savings, no matter how small.

What is Tesco Fuel Save?
Tesco Fuel Save is a great new scheme from Tesco that allows you to get money off fuel, just by doing your shopping at Tesco and scanning your Clubcard.
How does it work?
Basically, the more you shop, the more you save. For every £50 you spend on your shopping, you’ll earn 2p off every litre of fuel when you fill up at a Tesco petrol filling station. You can use our fuel save calculator to get an idea of how much you could save.
How is it different from other fuel offers?
Tesco Fuel Save isn’t a one-off offer, it’s an on-going scheme. Every shop you do can earn you savings, no matter how small.
So how does it accumulate?
Easy. For every £50 you spend, you earn 2p off every litre. So, if you spend £100, you earn 4p a litre off, if you spend £150, you earn 6p a litre off and so on. These savings can also be combined over a number of shops so you can get an even bigger discount on your fuel. And as long as you always scan your Clubcard, every shop will count. You can also build up to each £50 with lots of smaller shops too.
Do the fuel savings expire?
Yes. Once you’ve earned them, they’ll expire at the end of the following month. For example, fuel savings earned in January can be used until the end of February. All you have to do is make sure you use them before then. Don’t worry if you’re forgetful, you’ll be reminded when your fuel savings are about to expire at the bottom of your receipt. If you shop online, it’ll be in your email.
Can I combine savings from different months?
You can’t combine the savings you earn in one month with those you earn in another. So, while any savings you make in January could be spent in February, they couldn’t be combined with any new savings you had earned in February. When you come to redeem your fuel savings, you need to use your oldest savings first. That way, they don’t expire and you don’t miss out on a saving.
Do I still get my Clubcard Points?
Yes. Your fuel savings are an extra, on top of your Clubcard points.
How do I know what fuel savings I've earned?
Your fuel savings summary can always be found at the bottom of your shopping receipt. If you shop online, we’ll email you the day after your delivery. When you fill up at a Tesco petrol filling station, the customer assistant will let you know what savings you’ve earned before you pay. If you pay at the pump your balance will be shown when you scan your Clubcard and you choose to use them. You can also check your fuel savings online via your My Clubcard account at
tesco.com/Clu…ard.
Can I use just part of my savings in one transaction?
No. You can either use the whole saving or hang on to them and let them build up. However, if you’ve earned more than your 20p a litre limit, you can spend that and you get to keep anything that’s left over.
How do I redeem my fuel savings?
Your fuel savings will be stored on your Clubcard. When you fill up, if you choose to pay in the kiosk, simply scan your Clubcard. We will tell you how many fuel savings you have and ask if you would like to use them. If you choose to pay at the pump, just scan your Clubcard before you fill up. You’ll be shown your fuel savings balance and given the option to use them on that transaction.
Is there a limit to the amount of fuel I can buy using my fuel savings?
Yes. You can buy up to 100 litres per transaction and there is also a fair usage policy (See terms and conditions).
Are all stores taking part?
Only stores in Wales, or if you shop at tesco.com/gro…ies and are served by a store in Wales. The scheme is available until 31st July 2014. A full list of participating stores can be found here
Which Tesco Petrol filling stations can I use my fuel savings at?
You can use your fuel savings at any Tesco petrol filling station in Wales. Find a full list of participating stations at tesco.com/sto…tor

Qualification
(1) To qualify for Tesco Fuel Save, a customer must be a Clubcard member with a valid Clubcard or Clubcard key-fob. (2) To qualify for a 2p per litre saving in-store, a customer must spend a minimum of £50 and scan their valid Clubcard or Clubcard key-fob at the checkout. (3) To qualify for a 2p per litre saving online, a customer must spend a minimum of £50 at Tesco.com/gro…ies and ensure they have entered their correct and valid Clubcard details at the time of payment. The minimum £50 spend need not be carried out in one transaction. Multiple shops will earn a saving of 2p per litre, as soon as the minimum spend of £50 is reached. Similarly, multiple shops will earn a saving of 4p per litre, as soon as a total spend of £100 is reached, etc. (4) Multiple spends of £50 in one shop will qualify for more Tesco Fuel Savings, e.g. a spend of £100 will earn a customer a 4p per litre saving, a spend of £150 will earn a customer a 6p per litre saving etc. (5) Clubcard savings will load in 1p increments for every £25 spent, however savings can only be redeemed in 2p increments and will therefore only apply after each £50 spend. For example, if you have spent £75 in one shop and your store receipt shows that you have earned 3p of Fuel Savings, at that time you would only be able to use 2p Fuel Savings at the pump. The extra 1p will stay loaded on your Clubcard and can be used once your Fuel Savings have been built up to 2p. (6) If a customer does not use their Clubcard, no Tesco Fuel Savings can be earned. (7) Qualifying spend excludes purchases of Infant milk formulae, tobacco products, fuel, prescription medicines, stamps, saving stamps, lottery, cafe, E-Top-up, opticians, phone shop, photo shop, travel money, insurance, gift cards, online delivery charges and Paypoint and purchases from in-store concessions. (8) Qualifying spend also excludes online purchases made on Tesco websites other than Tesco.com/gro…ies (for example, Tesco Direct, both home delivered and collected in-store via Click & Collect, is excluded). (9) Age restrictions apply and you must be over 18 to purchase or receive alcohol.
Redemption
(10) Tesco Fuel Savings can be used immediately once earned. You must advise the Tesco Petrol Filling Station or Tesco Express cashier that you want to use your Tesco Fuel Savings on your fuel purchase or follow the on-screen instructions if using payatpump (11) Tesco Fuel Savings can only be redeemed in 2p increments, ie, 2p or 4p or 6p etc,. If your receipt balance shows that you have accumulated an uneven number of fuel savings, you will only be able to redeem the next highest even number worth of Fuel Savings, for example, if you have accumulated 7p, you will only be able to redeem 6p of Fuel Savings in one transaction. The remaining 1p will stay on your Clubcard for use next time, once it can be redeemed as part of an even number of fuel savings. (12) Alternatively, Tesco Fuel Savings can be accumulated up to the end of the calendar month in which the Savings were earned. (13) There is no restriction on the number of Tesco Fuel Savings that can be earned in one month. The maximum saving that can be used in one fuel transaction is 20p per litre. If you have accumulated over 20p of savings credits on your Clubcard, a 20p discount will apply to your first transaction and your unused savings credits that remain will be saved for use next time. For example, if you have accumulated 26p of savings credits, when you buy fuel using your Tesco Fuel Savings you will receive a 20p discount and 6p will remain on your Clubcard for next time (subject to expiry timeframes). (14) Tesco Fuel Savings operate on a monthly cycle, starting on the 1st of each month and ending on the last day of the calendar month. Savings earned each calendar month can be used in that month (month 1) or the next month (month 2). Any Savings accumulated in month 1 and carried over into month 2 cannot be combined with any Savings earned in month 2, and those month 1 Savings will expire at the end of month 2 if not used. Any Savings earned in month 2 will expire at the end of month 3 if not used, etc. (15) Savings from each month will remain separate, and cannot be used together. Savings must be used in the chronological order of their collection. For example, if you carry over a 4 pence saving from month 1 into month 2, and have collected 6pence in month 2, you must redeem the 4p from month 1 first in a fuel transaction, before then being able to redeem the 6pence earned in month 2 in a subsequent fuel transaction. (16) Savings from each month can only be carried over to the next month in even numbers. This means that if by the end of month 1 you had earned 7p, only 6p would be carried over for redemption in month 2. This is because once month 1 savings are carried over to month 2, you can no longer add to the month 1 savings, and because Fuel Savings must be redeemed in even numbers.
Joe Smith does a £60 shop on each of the 16th, 23th and 28th February, earning a total 6p (2p per shop) per litre saving with Tesco Fuel Save. These pennies could be used after every shop to earn 2p off per litre of fuel, provided no points are outstanding from January (which need to be redeemed first), or used together after all three shops for 6p off a litre in one fuel transaction.

If by 23.59 on 28th February, Joe Smith has not used the 6p per litre saving with Tesco Fuel Save or qualified for further Tesco Fuel Save Savings in February, these Savings can be carried into March for use during March. If Joe Smith earns a further 2p per litre saving with Tesco Fuel Save in March, the February Savings must be used before the March Savings. However, if the 6p per litre saving from February is not redeemed against one fuel transaction by 23.59 on 31st March, the 6p per litre saving will expire. The remaining 2p per litre saving earned in March will be valid until 23.59 on 30th April and must be used before any new Tesco Fuel Savings earned in April are used.

Joe Smith does a £80 shop on the 1st February, which earns him 3p of Fuel Savings. On his receipt it will show that Joe has earned 3p of Fuel Savings. Fuel savings can only be redeemed in even numbers. Joe Smith can either redeem 2p of savings at the pump and save the left over 1p for another time, once he has accumulated more Fuel Savings, or he can wait until he spends another £20, which will take him to a total spend of £100 and earn him another 1p of Fuel Savings, bringing his total to 4p (an even number) which he can then spend all at once.

(17) Tesco Fuel Savings can be used in conjunction with Tesco Fuel Coupons (received, for example, through promotions such as Tesco’s “spend £50, get 5p off per litre of fuel” promotion). The 20p per litre maximum discount only relates to Fuel Savings and does not include Tesco Fuel Coupons, for example a customer could use his/her 16p of Fuel Savings, plus a 5p per litre of fuel voucher, for a total discount of 21p per litre. (18) Tesco Fuel Savings can be used to earn money off each full litre of fuel to the maximum amount of 100 litres per single transaction. Single transaction means the refuelling of one vehicle or the filling of one acceptable container. Refuelling multiple vehicles or the use of containers alongside vehicles are not single transactions and will not qualify for the use of Tesco Fuel Savings. (19) Discount is available on one individual purchase of Petrol, Diesel or AdBlue for one vehicle only. Mixed grade transactions are excluded.

Surely in Wales only is racist?

If you live in or shop in a Welsh Tesco this is a good deal. Apparently it is a six month trial.

I'd forgotten Chester Broughton was in Wales until they advertised this deal a couple of weeks ago X)

Thanks op, heat added

It is racist and I am bearing the brunt as getting my deal cold

oO thats a lot of bedtime reading lol

how much info was there? was constant scrolling there

Wales.....Where's Wales.....:D

I had a voucher last week to spend £20 in Sainsburys and get 8p off a litre. A FAR more manageable feat!
Apart from that Sainsburys is 3p a litre cheaper than Tescos and the car sounds fine on Sains diesel but sounds like a tractor using Tesco diesel.
£500 spend for a measly 20p off an overpriced litre of fuel - NO DEAL! The most it would save me is £10 on a 50lt fill-up.
Using Asda for APG's (10% cheaper) I can do this weekly if I wanted with a bit of work on mysupermarket on Tesco deals vs Asda and also avoid Tescos like the plague.

too much hard work for little reward, our local Asda at Pembroke Dock (that's in Wales) is less than 200 yards away and cheaper anyway.

Seems to have disappeared off the face of the earth. No mention of it anywhere on Tesco site, hardly any google results either. weird.

You need to look up the definition of 'race'
