First post so please be kind, and apologies if this has already been posted, but i couldn't find it when i searched!

Tesco groceries are now offering a delivery saver plan, of either 3 months or 6 months, so that you can save money on your grocery delivery costs. Simply make an up-front payment and then watch your grocery delivery charges disappear! All you have to do is choose a plan, make a single payment and then you won't pay a penny more on delivery for three to six months. They are charging a one off payment of £36 for the 3 month plan and £60 for the 6 month plan. The plan is then automatically added to your account and when planning future shops you can choose the delivery slots that suit you regardless of cost and shop as often as you like with up to one delivery per day. All you need to do is have a minimum order value of just £40 per shop. By being a part of their delivery saver plan, you also get priority access to their christmas delivery slots, which i know is a life saver for some, especially when this year i didn't get one myself. So basically by paying upfront for your tesco grocery delivery costs, this could save you a lot of money in the long run, especially if like myself, your delivery costs are £5 a week. This might not save money for some people, but for the majority who have their shopping delivered on a regular basis of once a week or maybe more, then according to the tesco website, this could save from £3 up to £42 if you signed up the 3 month plan, and the 6 month plan would save even more money from £18 to £96. If you wanted to see exactly how much you'd personally save then take your average delivery cost and see how many times you order per month and work out your overall costs over a 3 or 6 month period. Then just see how much cheaper paying upfront for the delivery plan is! In my case it was about £24 cheaper just for the 3 month plan. The plan auto renews, but you can cancel this renewal, and your plan at any time, and even swap your plan for the other one if you wanted.

If you want to find out more, read the faq's or even sign up then visit tesco's delivery saver page. tesco.com/Del…er/

I know this won't the right choice for some people, but i hope it helps some people and saves them some money because i know i've saved money already by signing up!

This is excellent when you consider the price of petrol.Good post and Hot.

10.1% cashback from TCB for signing up too.

This has been on for ages. It is a brilliant option if you get a few deliveries a month or like your shopping delivered on a saturday or sunday as these are the most expensive. I had it for 6 months for the end of pregnancy/new born. I've cancelled it now cause you do feel tied to tesco. On the 27th of last month most of their deals stopped so that they could do a 'price drop' or so their deals aren't constant. All were reinstated on the 28th. As I needed to get some shopping.... off to asda I went. Which if id still had the delivery saver I would have paid alot more from tesco. (sorry mini rant over )

Have used this for the last 9months, initially did a 3 month trial, them cancelled and took out a 6 month plan (to get cash back) and have just cancelled again as was due to renew this week, will take out another 6 month subscription later this week to try and get cash back again

Quite like the delivery saver, it has saved us quite a bit I'm delivery charges, it means we can get food delivered at a convenient time rather than in the cheapest slots. Have started to do weekly shops to a menu plan os that has brought bills down a bit too.

Incidentally, I don't know if all stores do this as hadn't seen it advertised, they are offering 1 hour delivery slots instead of the 2hrs they used to do

its all I think. My delivery driver (or ex-delivery driver lol) was moaning about it just before it started about a month ago.

I used this last year to cover the summer holidays. It's not worth it for me over the year but for £36 it's worth it not to have to take the kids shopping for that 6 weeks, plus I get a few weeks either side of it. It would be nice if I can get cashback with it too this year.

Thanks, I'm very pleased that I signed up. I usually do Click and Collect but thats costs £2, the 6 month delivery works out cheaper, more still if I happen to place more than an order a week.

Called up Tesco today to see if they could offer any discounts to their existing customers or if I had to cancel my plan and resubscribe. Unfortunately they were unable to help. Nice to see Tesco rewarding customer loyalty.

I cant believe this isn't hotter. Thanks OP

Cheers! i'm a bit confused at why it's not hotter either but i think it's got something to do with the fact that someone else has kinda uploaded the same deal as me a few days ago, but took credit for the voucher codes too which i credited to Candystore and used them for her 'deal' so now everyone thinks her's is fab! Life is unfair aye!

Does the shopping have to be over a certain amount each time?

You have to have a min spend of £40 each time, but you can order once a day if you wish, as long as you spend £40!

Expired! Just rang up to cancel my 3 month plan (due to end tomorrow) so I could get this and the chap on the phone said it expired the end of March! Typical of my luck missed it by a week!
