Ground cloth back in stock for those of you like myself that bought the pool but forgot this!

Product Details

Keep the kids and your lawn safe when they're splashing about in their Tesco 8ft Quick Up garden pool.

This 8ft square ground cloth is used underneath your pool, to keep grass beneath it protected and stop the pool from sliding around. Please note pool is not included.

Lovely job just what I needed I don't have an 8ft pool just a blow up rectangle one but the grass has gone all stodgy around it from kids getting in & out & the pool gets filthy so this will help ..

Protect the grass underneath?
Seriously? Put 500l of water, or around 5tonnes of weight on ur grass for one month and u would be worried its the splashes which will harm grass?

There will be no grass regardless

We got a 12ft one for the Airflow Bouncy Castle when it had 30% off

500 litres of water is 500kgs or 0.5 tonnes. The 8ft pool actually holds 2300 litres or 2.3 tonnes, it must take a long time to fill.

About 2 days in the recent rain will do it.

Yours maths is a bit out, but defo a valid point. Cheap enough, perhaps will stop pool from getting muddy?

These were £2.06 last month at Tesco, the 12ft sheet was £3.00.

That's the carpet for my new house sorted, cheers!

Cheap and cheerful, but I can't see how this will protect the grass underneath at all,it will still be yellow and damp after a few days.

Yep this is to protect the pool liner, not the grass. You don't want a puncture.

The grass will look like it's dead after a month with the pool on top and daily soakings/ stagnant conditions.

What we do when the pool gets dismantled is sprinkle some grass seed down and keep watered if dry.

Within 6-8 weeks it's all back & looking better than ever.

I don't think the 'dead grass' underneath is actually all dead, just nearly. This method helps keep weeds from taking over as it recovers.

Good price, though

OOS now

by carpet do they mean tarpaulin?

Yeah, I think it will be too thin & lets face it, it's to protect the pool bottom, rather than the grass. My back garden is small pebbles & I put old curtains underneath my pool, seems to to do the job...but better than that, I think a circular piece of old carpet would be great... & provide cushioning on the bottom for when the kids jump in and would also make a nice surround area for the pool if you had the carpet, say, 2 foot larger in diameter than the pool

500 Lts of water = 500 Kgs (1/2 tonne) not 5 tonnes, just for the record.
