Put the sugar in, people complain you will instantly get diabetes and obese.

Replace them with alternatives, people complain that they are evil and dangerous because they are synthetic despite all the testing and approval by various health authorities. There is nothing wrong with any sweetener.

Most drugs from paracetamol to antibiotics are synthetic and are a load of chemicals. Our bodies are a load of chemicals. The world is a load of chemicals, doesn't mean they are instantly all bad.

Provided you aren't drinking bottle after bottle straight the sweeteners etc will have very little of any effect, heat from me

Yeah, my point was they are using a mixture of other chemicals to replace and try to imitate the taste of sugar, and as aspartame is so bitter they have to add yet another sweetener just to get rid of some of the taste, just put sugar back in and i'll buy it again, better the devil you know, never mind the health implications, it tastes like crap and leaves an aftertaste in my mouth, also gives my son headaches.

Makes me laugh when i see overweight people in the supermarket with a trolley full of junk food,....... and 5 bottles of diet coke

Overindulgence is the cause of most obesity, annoys me when i go shopping and almost every drink has this sweetener crap in it! you can't buy a sweetener free version! just give me sugar! i can manage my own diet thankyou!

Ah fair enough, sorry misunderstood your reasons. I feel the same but about sugar and prefer the diet versions, except for a few things like root beer.

There's no real health implications for sugar unless, as you say and as with everything really, overindulgence is involved.

Every little bit helps I guess they're thinking Iol. I do have to admit I usually have a diet drink just so I can have a dessert instead.
