Ha, bet they bought them using their club card boost. Tesco were selling these around this price, another seller is giving you free postage and same price
good device prepare to return it loads though have had to send my hudl 1 off 3 times to get the power port repaired, the space for the cable is too big and the waglle room ends up damaging the port, so id be careful on ebay for this with 30 day warranty! luckily i got mine from tesco direct. wait for a hudl 2 deal!

These are fair comments yes do shop around as other sellers are selling for the same price for get a 12 month warranty with teach on a refurb for 44.99£ I think they have it as
Do not buy a square trade warranty......not worth the paper it is printed on
Good price, I was thinking about getting one to use as a Sat nav.
you can do the charge port yourself i got 1 on ebay for £3.25 and took 5 mins to fit it . and the square trade warranty is crap.
£40 for an old, second hand tablet?
I am surprised there's been no rumours about the Hudl 3.

There again, the h2 is pretty good. Forget the h1, use Boost, and get an h2.
That would be a good Christmas present...in 2013. Do not waste your money, buy something you can actually enjoy using.
We have one and to be honest I think it's a turd. It's too slow, laggy and the Tesco apps annoy me. Yes I could root and put a new rom on it but doubt it could be improved that much.
saw on eBay (as mentioned) seller of Hudl 1's claiming 1 year manufacturer's guarantee, this cannot exist, I've been there on this. You only can get it if you purchased from Tesco and hold the receipt or some other cast iron proof of purchase.
ironmick how do you replace the charging port on the H1?

please advise how charging port can be fixed for £3.25. thanks
Kids are for ever breaking their tablets...So this might so as a back up spare in the house
Ok for the working class to buy i guess.

As opposed to the non-working class? oO
would be better "Deal" if you didn't put "Decent Christmas Present" in the title lol

I'm sure that a second hand, out of date tablet wont be on many kids list!!

when the screen breaks it cannot be fixed as I found to my cost

I use mine for that. Works fine. How many other Tabs out there have GPS for this price ?
My daughter bought one with Birthday money, cheap but not a good tablet, screen freezes, battery issues and poor speed and wifi range. Finally returned ours for a refund after the replacement one we were given by Tesco was just as bad as the first. My daughter now has an iPad mini, expensive yes but in a different league.

well, yes, that can happen. my family has has 1 new and 1 re refurbished Hudl 1 and both have been brilliant and faultless. Then I needed another and bought another refub one from Tesco and three on the trott were dudd. then I got a refund.
Ideal for general computer use & secure comms.

It is worth paying extra and get a Hudl2. 8", 2gb ram , expand with. 64 gb memory card, and hdmi out to your 50" tv as a monitor. Amazing piece of kit.
Awwww you gonna cry ?

Not that many although saying that I did buy a Wikipad brand new for £40 quid from a hotukdeals recommendation, only problem is the GPS in it is almost unusable outside of the car and useless inside it.

Yep, did this myself BUT put a knife through the battery when removing it! sparked and I nearly pooed my pants!! holds a charge for 20 mins... new battery ordered!

Let that be a warning for all, easy enough to fix though having said that.

H1 does have HDMI out (via a micro HDMI port - means you can charge at the same time). Came in here to see if anyone mentioned updates - AFAIK Tesco abandoned this so many versions of android ago that it does not get security updates! : (

Oh, and it will also take a 64GB card IIRC - not disagreeing that H2 is better by far, probably is, probably would have bought if not for the Tesco no updates issue!
