Very good, Hot! Hot!

If only they tasted nice. Worst supermarket curries, IMHO, but voted hot for those that like them

We really enjoy these curries; much nicer than Asda IMO

Heat & rep

i really like these, the nicest supermarket takeaway i've had, much better than the chinese option.

The jalfrezi is very good IMO

The chinese one they do isn't very good either.

Still pretty good for 4 quid though.

yeah not the best supermarket takeaways but ok.

what is the difference between these ones and the ones they do in the plastic bags as those ones are really nice but £6.48

The posters who say that tesco curries are not the best supermarket ones: whose are?

A good deal for reasonable curries

i dont mind these, quite like the morrisons ones though too.

anyone "weighed" up the difference between this and the asda £4 deal, with that you got two of everything but maybe portions were smaller i dunno, i was just gonna get round to going and trying the asda one last week but i cant see it advertised anywhere now so i think its finished, but wasnt there more choice to ?

Agreed, enjoy the Tesco curries, the sainsbury's, M&S Indian takeaway always taste like someone forgot the salt. Tesco curries are perfect if there is no other option.

These arent much more than £4.25 usually are they?

They used to be £6.50 when we started getting them a good while ago. They dropped to £4.50 until 2 weeks ago, when I noticed them priced at £4.25

Thanks OP

I think your thinkin gof the similar ones in plastic bags in the chilled food section. These are the ones they put togethor in store i think and have their own little fridge. They have never been more than a fiver

Tesco Finest curries are good for a treat but rather expensive. I've been very disappointed by their 'ordinary' Chinese which has put me off trying the Indian. Maybe this 'deal' is the excuse to try them.

Best curries of the lot are the ones my daughter makes after spending a year in SE Asia. We know all the ingredients are good too.

No, they were £6.50 for the last 6 months or so. For the last 2 months, they were reduced to £4.50 and last week (IIRC) they were priced up at £4.25. Up until they price changed to £4.25, they were still priced at £6.50 on the shelf.

These are the brown bagged variety, not the plastic ones. The plastic bagged ones are your average supermarket "meh" curries, the brown are much nicer

I must of bought around 3 of the brown bagged ones in the last couple of monthes and they have never been more than a fiver, i wouldnt of bought them otherwise. Maybe its regional or store specific.

That's basically what I said; for the last 2 months or so, they were £4.50

Prior to that, we used to pay £6.50 as we liked them more than Asda, so were prepared to pay £6.50 for what we thought was a much nicer curry. Happy days now though.

I have noticed that the Jalfrezi is a bit hotter now, so maybe they switched supplier, hence the lower price

1 week my store had them up to £6.50 from £4.50 then the next they were back down to £4.50!?

Hope everyone likes chicken LOL

They have varied in price in the last few weeks, from £5.00, to £4.50. to £4.25.

Agreed - can't argue at just over £1 a curry but definitely not nice enough to buy loads and stick in the freezer IMHO.

Voted hot, even though the curries were far from it. The Jalfrezi was possibly the worst attempt at a Jalfrezi I've ever had yet the Chicken Tikka was surprisingly edible (I normally shun the Tikka Massala's for the hotter curries).

For £4.25 you can't go wrong - even if you mix all the dishes together in a bucket and scoop it out with the Naan. Bliss.

The Jalfrezi was more of a medium curry than hot, but very nice! Tikka Masala was gorgeous. Rice was perfect and lots of it too. Veg curry was sweet and mild. A steel for the price IMO.

Don't sell these in my local Tesco, disappointing ; (

The price is excellent, what ever it has been, and I have never got them for this price before, also think they are great value, can get three meals out of a pack, with rice left over!

Just had the egg fried rice and chicken curry Chinese style terrible bland just nasty the peas tasted perfumey utter rank 1st and last time

last night tried Tesco take away for the first time husband had lamb Rogan josh (3 pieces of meat) I had chicken satay which didn't really taste of anything, pilou rice was dry and bland, then I read on the packaging that the chicken comes from Vietnam????? why!!!! disappointed, yes we were
