Just back from my local store and noticed lots of the £1 bargain bins had buy one get one free on them.
I was unsure if the slim cases were so bought some and then when they charged £1 for each pack went to customer services and got a refund and replace on them ;-)
Other items like 10 glue sticks for £1 too
Many DIY items for under £5 on special displays.

    Thanks for the pointer Mike

I picked up 4 blister packs of 2 x 50w halogen bulbs at a £1 per pack on bogof - that's 4 bulbs at 25p each - fantastic bargain, and loads left at the Winchester Tesco

Tesco in Cambridge has lots too... didn't have time to look properly but did pick up a small bathroom mirror (i broke my daughters -bad mummy!) and a pink lampshade... will look again tomorrow!

I got 2 packs of blank dvd discs(3 in each) and 2 packs of brown padded envelopes(8 in each-just the right size for posting DVDs off if you do ebay) for a pound each in my local tescos yesterday.

They've also got a selection of cheap cds and dvds at 97p each!

yep.. i got 3 books for my girls at 97p each.. one of them was a scooby doo one aswell!.. will enjoy reading that one!!lol

I also stocked up on the jiffy type posting bags, 8 for a £1 and bogof ! so works out at just over 6p each.
Other notable bargains were strong dog leads 2 for £1 and microfibre cloths 6 for £1.:)

The glue sticks (same style as pritt stick) were actually 20 for £1 on bogof. Great if you have kids as they get through these like nobodys business.

Don't waste your money on the glue sticks as they're absolute rubbish. They look as if they should screw up (like other glue sticks) but they don't, which means you get about 3mm of glue from each stick! We used one to stick a small picture on my son's homework project and that was it used up!! The glue isn't even very sticky.
Complete waste of money and I'm taking my pack back to Tesco today to tell them how disappointed I am.
Ok - for a pound I didn't expect there to be as much glue in them as one of the branded makes, but even so ....
