Tesco are abandoning their internet phone service (obviously decided that competing with Skype wasn't such a good idea), and Home Bargains seem to have bought up loads of headset packs.

Ignoring the phone service stuff, this is a good quality PC headset (single earphone and boom mic) - been using one for ages with the aforementioned Skype. Bargain at £1.49.

Plenty of stock in Huyton (Merseyside) store at lunchtime today.

I bought one of these in Huddersfield (west yorkshire), they are good headsets. It's the one ear piece type with two mini jacks for speaker and microphone. (the microphone can fold out of the way)

If you want a laugh, look at the guys selling them on ebay like the tesco service still exists

great headset. i use mine for my 360

Not even USB? Cold - you could fiddle forever with the audio settings before you get decent microphone sound.

With respect that's utter nonsense. Tell Skype to 'automatically adjust microphone settings' and it works perfectly, no fiddling required.

It's a telephony headset, not a broadcast quality microphone!

Was hoping this was usb - although I just noticed my laptop does have speaker/mic ports - also I am just 1 mile from HB Huyton

What's the benefit of USB headphones?

I suspect not a lot on a cheap pair of headphones.

If you've ever tried USB headphones compared to jack headphones you'll find there is a world of difference. If I'm not mistaken they work in different ways. One goes through your sound card the other doesn't. USB ones are FAR superior.

you can get a adaptor for the jack to turn it to usb port cost about £1
