Always go for whole plum tomatoes, much better flavour. Just a tip from Italian family, as Nonna used to make ;-)

Great I'll stock up
Same here. I just need to make sure I buy these instead of the value ones! As I always buy the value ones every week.

That's a matter of opinion, some might find this sexy.

Great spot. Valid until the 30th in-store and online. Thanks op.
East end is usually 4 for £1 on promotion
Nice deal though I'm not going there just to save a few p on tin tomatoes so I'll stick with my 29p lidl chopped tomatoes that i've found to contain hardly any watery juice as of late.

Very true, shame they are just tins of water with very little tomatoes
Will be buying extra to donate to local food banks
4 for a £1 of Heinz from B&M
Just had an email from Tesco about this offer. The reason these are on offer is because they're selling all the ingredients for their "Nana's 'Magical' soup" recipe @ 25% off...
Nana's 'Magic' soup ingredients
A 9p saving gets 831' heat ?

Voted hot btw

What is your point? Is it an attempt at humour?

Food bank customers prefer ready meals
Waitrose have their half-price event still on REALLY WORTH SHOPPING THERE WHEN THIS IS ON!

And if you have a Waitrose Card and picks that means up to 70% off original price.
Shopping there at other times is usually too expensive.
CIREO (the best toms in a tin) are currently 1.77 for FOUR 400g tins chopped, and with a Waitrose card and 'picks' that means another 20% off as well making them just £1.42 for the 4 cans. Plum toms on offer as well.
With all the other 'half price' stuff in Waitrose it's...
waitrose.com/eco…204
NO CONTEST!
for one other random example of how much you can save, I like Jordan's 4 nut muesli. In Sainsbury's it's 3 quid.
In Waitrose it's currently 2 quid, and with a pick (another 20% off) it's just £1.60.
NO CONTEST again.

Next month however it will be back to Sainsburys when they have their brilliant Nectar voucher offer - 200 pts min up to 5000 pts if you spend a tenner. Will be filling up at Sains petrol station, 50 quids worth in 10 quid fill ups - sorry if you end up queuing behind me.

Why are you writing all of that here in a link for Tesco tomatoes?

Make it a posting of its own!

I have just checked the tin in my cupboard and you are quite right. Mine are the finely chopped. Didn't realise that there chopped and finely chopped varieties. I will need to check the shelf more closely next time to see if my store stocks the cheaper tins.
